Richard Simmons shared an update informing fans about his health and thanking them for their support after his recent hospitalization.
The 68-year-old fitness guru shared a Facebook post on Wednesday commenting on rumors about his absence from the public eye and providing details about his recent health issues.
"Hello to everyone who has shown concern for me and sent their good wishes. You will never know how much it means to me," Simmons wrote.
"Aren't you sick of hearing and reading about me?! LOL Well by now you know that I'm not 'missing.' just a little under the weather. I'm sure I will be feeling good and back home in a couple of days."
On March 10, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Simmons had not been held hostage by his housekeeper and was "perfectly fine" after he became the subject of a podcast titled "Missing Richard Simmons," dedicated to explaining his recent lack of public presence.
Simmons was hospitalized for "severe indigestion" on Monday and his rep, Michael Catalano, said Tuesday he was "feeling better" and expected to make a full recovery.
"This has reminded me that when you need help you can't be afraid to reach out and ask for it," he wrote. "We all think we should always be able to solve our problems all by ourselves and sometimes it's just bigger than we are."
Simmons encouraged his fans to seek help for their own problems and said their support had made a positive impact on his own wellbeing.

"I reached out and I hope you will too. I'm sure there are people in your life who love and care for you and would do anything to help you with the challenges you face," he wrote.
"Just knowing you care has already made me feel better. Hope to see you again soon!"
