ABC began promoting The Bachelor's premiere date late last week on television and on social media.

During a promotional clip broadcast on the November 16 episode of The Golden Bachelor starring Gerry Turner, Joey says, "I just feel the most ready that I've ever been to be in an engagement, a marriage."

He adds in the brief preview, "I get butterflies."

And The Bachelor's official Instagram account uploaded a video of Joey teasing his new season.

Joey, sporting a baseball hat and T-shirt, says, "Hey everyone! It's Joey. I am so excited to share that my season will be premiering on January 22 on ABC. I can't wait!"

Alongside the video, the caption read, "Ready for his match. @joeygraziadei's season of #TheBachelor premieres January 22 on ABC!"

Joey has called himself "a hopeless romantic" who is ready to settle down with the woman of his dreams.

Joey's initial cast of potential bachelorettes comprised of 32 women was released in September.

ABC announced at the time the 32 women who "may" have a chance to meet and date Joey, a 27-year-old tennis pro from Koloa, HI, on The Bachelor's 28th season.

"We are giving you an early look at the women who may be on this season of The Bachelor! Leave a [rose emoji] for who would get your First Impression Rose," The Bachelor wrote on its official Facebook page on September 16.

The inclusion of the word "may" suggests a few of the women may not actually appear on Joey's season of The Bachelor, however, given the typical The Bachelor or The Bachelorette season usually only begins with 25 or 30 contestants.

Joey's initial cast of women range in age from 23 to 31 years old. Only four of the ladies are age 30 or older.

ABC began its current practice of publicly announcing each The Bachelor and The Bachelorette season's possible cast in 2019 as an apparent attempt to further vet each suitor's background before filming actually commences.

Beginning in 2020 with Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette, they also began bringing extra potential bachelors to the season's filming location in case anyone tested positive for coronavirus during the quarantine period that must occur before production officially starts.

Joey was announced as The Bachelor star for Season 28 during The Bachelorette's live Season 20 finale, which featured Charity Lawson rejecting Joey in second place and getting engaged to her winner, Dotun Olubeko, in late August.

The Bachelor fans were already introduced to one of Zach's bachelorettes -- Lea Cayanan, a 23-year-old from Los Angeles, CA -- during the finale of Charity's The Bachelorette season.

Joey and Lea introduced themselves to each other in front of a screaming studio audience shortly after Joey was first announced as The Bachelor star.

The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer gave Lea a special envelope -- containing something that will "help" Lea and also shake up the season, during the finale -- and he asked her not to open it until Night 1 of filming.

"I don't know [what was in the card]. It threw me for a loop," Joey admitted during the August 29 episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, which is co-hosted by Bachelor in Paradise spouses Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

"I like that they are trying to change things up, I really do. But I was like, 'What are we doing with the card? What does this mean?'"

Joey recalled how Leah was "amazing" and "funny," especially when she joked to him on After the Final Rose, "These girls are going to hate me when I walk into this house."

According to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone, Joey's bachelorettes started arriving in Los Angeles on September 15 and The Bachelor filmed its Night 1 cocktail party on September 19. The Bachelor season wrapped filmed earlier this month.

Carbone also reported there is a pair of sisters on Joey's upcoming The Bachelor season: Allison Hollinger, a 26-year-old from Philadelphia, PA, and Lauren Hollinger, a 28-year-old from Philadelphia, PA.

Joey said on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast that's he's looking for a woman who is adventurous.

"I want someone that's going to love every day and try to make the most of it," Joey shared.

Joey, who claimed he doesn't really have a type, added how he wants a funny woman who can "command a room," make others feel comfortable, and not take things too seriously.

According to ABC, Joey also wants a partner who is outgoing and caring.

"He loves hiking, surfing and ending his days watching the sunset but knows he has much more love to give, and the only thing missing is someone with whom to share his life," ABC says of The Bachelor star.
