The CW's reboot of '80s soap opera "Dynasty," has received a series order.

According to Deadline, this new modern take on "Dynasty" will feature a more diverse cast.

It is being developed by "Gossip Girl" creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, along with writer-producer Sallie Patrick ("Revenge").

Original "Dynasty" creators Esther and Richard Shapiro are serving as executive producers.

Like the original ABC series, "Dynasty" will feature two feuding wealthy families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they fight for control of their fortunes and families.

"Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll" alum Elizabeth Gillies is set to star as the daughter of Fallon Carrington ("Grant Snow"), who is at odds with her Hispanic stepmother played by Nathalie Kelley of "The Vampire Diaries" fame.

The cast will also include James Mackay ("The Leftovers"), Alan Dale ("The O.C."), Sam Adegoke ("Murder in the First"), Robert Christopher Riley ("Hit the Floor"), and Rafael de la Fuente ("Empire").
