Dean Cain has been sworn in as a reserve police officer at the St. Anthony Police Department in Idaho.
Cain, an actor who is best known for starring as the Man of Steel in television series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" from 1993 to 1997, joins the department as a member of the All About Kids foundation which aims to protect children from bullying and internet predators.
Cain is the second celebrity to become a reserve officer at St. Anthony following "CHiPs" star Erik Estrada who joined in July 2016 and started the All About Kids initiative.
"This is a wonderful opportunity. It's great to be here with the guys and to put on this uniform," Cain said at city hall after being sworn in by St. Anthony Mayor Don Powell, the Idaho State Journal reported.
"I love the small town feel. Everybody's been extremely friendly and warm," he continued.
Cain, following the ceremony, signed autographs and took photos with fans outside city hall.
