Taylor Swift, Mark Ronson, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran score top Grammys

Taylor Swift's 1989 was named Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars won the Grammy for Record of the Year in Los Angeles Monday night.
Swift picked up an additional statuette for Best Music Video for "Bad Blood" and "Funk" also scored the accolade for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" earned the honors for Song of the Year and Pop Solo Performance of the Year, and Meghan Trainor was declared Best New Artist.
Kendrick Lamar cleaned up in the hip-hop categories. His CD To Pimp a Butterfly won for Best Rap Album, his song "Alright" took the trophies for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, and he shared the honor for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "These Walls" with Bilal, Anna Wise and Thundercat.
Alabama Shakes' Sound and Color was deemed Best Alternative Music Album and the band's song "Don't Wanna Fight" won for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.
D'Angelo and the Vanguard's Black Messiah received the Best R&B Album title and its song "Really Love" was declared Best R&B Song.
The Weeknd garnered the honors for Best Urban Contemporary Album for Beauty Behind the Madness and for Best R&B Performance for "Earned It."
Chris Stapleton went home with the prizes for Best Country Album and Best Solo Performance for Traveller, while Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" was presented with the awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

Hamilton earned the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album, Louis C.K. won for Best Comedy Album for Live at Madison Square Garden and Jimmy Carter's A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety was recognized as Best Spoken Word Album.
