Adam Cole was standing tall over NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase brought back his Million Dollar Championship on WWE NXT.

Kross was scheduled to meet his four opponents at NXT TakeOver: In Your House during the main event on Tuesday, which includes Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Johnny Gargano and Pete Dunne.

NXT general manager William Regal tried to bring order to the situation by meeting with Kross first in the ring due to the competitors brawling backstage throughout the night.

O'Reilly, Gargano and Dunne approached the ring one by one to verbally attack Kross and each other. Cole eventually spoke to the group virtually on the big screen, wanting to stay away from the action.

O'Reilly started a massive brawl after he slapped Kross in the face, causing security to come out in the process. Kross fought off the security while O'Reilly, Dunne and Gargano briefly worked together to stun Kross before they turned on each other.

Kross then took out O'Reilly last with a vicious elbow to the back of his head. Kross held up his title until Cole made a surprise sneak attack by kicking the champ twice in the face.

Cole finished off Kross with the Last Shot and held up the NXT Championship as WWE NXT went off the air. Kross defends his title against all five competitors Sunday at TakeOver: In Your House.

DiBiase, famously known as the Million Dollar Man, invited both Cameron Grimes and LA Knight to the ring to make a special announcement. DiBiase has been humiliating the also wealthy Grimes in recent weeks but said he was looking for someone to carry on the legacy of the Million Dollar Man.

The living legend stated that Grimes and Knight will compete in a Ladder match at TakeOver: In Your House for his newly returned Million Dollar Championship. The match will feature a gold ladder.

The Million Dollar Championship was famously created in 1989 by DiBiase who awarded it to himself after he was unable to become WWE Champion. The iconic title features dollar signs and was never formally recognized by WWE.

Rockstar Poppy also appeared on WWE NXT where she met with Regal and WWE head Triple H backstage.

Poppy digitally released her new, NXT-branded EP titled Eat while speaking with Regal and Triple H, and gave Dexter Lumis a hug after he gifted her a drawing that he made.

NXT Women's Tag Team Champion Indi Hartwell, who has a crush on Lumis, was devasted to see him hugging Poppy. Hartwell's partner Candice LeRae then called out Poppy to meet her in the ring.

Poppy said she doesn't wrestle but instead brought along a returning Io Shirai who took out LeRae with a Tiger Kick.

Other moments from WWE NXT included Oney Lorcan defeating Austin Theory; Legado del Fantasma challenging North American Champion Bronson Reed and NXT Tag Team Champions MSK to a Winner-Takes-All match at TakeOver; Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott defeating Killian Dain; Mercedes Martinez defeating Amari Miller after weathering an attack by Xia Li; Grizzled Young Veterans defeating August Grey and Ikemen Jiro; and Ember Moon defeating Dakota Kai via disqualification.

Moon's match was cut short by Kai's partner, NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez. Moon was able to fight back, however, and took down Gonzalez with an Eclipse.

Gonzalez defends her championship against Moon Sunday at TakeOver: In Your House.
