An Australian snake removal service shared video of two massive 15-foot pythons being rescued from the rafters of a building slated for demolition.
Cairns Snake Removals said in a Facebook post they were called to inspect abandoned buildings on the Northern Beaches for snakes and other wildlife before their scheduled demolition.
The handlers discovered two 15-foot Amethystine pythons in the rafters of one building and posted video of the capture to Facebook.
The snakes wrap themselves loosely around their rescuers and appear to remain calm and passive.
"These giants when handled the right way by an experienced snake catcher can remain quite calm. I often see stories and pictures of other snake catchers restraining these pythons by the scruff off their necks. In the right hands this is not necessary as it only stresses and aggravates the snake making it want to bite and constrict."
