The Real World: Philadelphia - Episode 4 Summary

'The Angry Black Man' By volsfan
Original Airdate: September 28, 2004

Previously on Real World, Sarah’s Boobs…we get to see all the lovefest we have witnessed so far. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH! Why does MTV think we really need to review? Seriously, they replay every episode 54 times a week and they usually have one if not two marathons on the weekends! Also, they replay one and sometimes up to three episodes every Tuesday before the new episode. So, I ask again, why do they think we need a recap?

Will the lovefest continue? Will Sarah bed MJ within the first five mins? Will Karamo visit Willie’s spectrum again this week? Will Mel speak this week and if so, will the $150 jeans be the topic? Let’s find out!

The first scene has Karamo talking to Puppies (Sarah and her boobs will now be referred to as Puppies)! Puppies asks Karamo if his dad taught him to resent white people? OMG! I have the race episode! I hope I can get through this! Karamo says that his dad would give him books about white people and wouldn’t explain them. Karamo then says that the people that didn’t want integration in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s could be parents today…could be Landon’s parents. OK…what kind of education are you getting by reading books with no explanation?

NOTE TO THE BUTCH ONE: Don’t you think we have grown as a society over the past 60 years? The world isn’t perfect but we have come along way!

While playing pool, Landon is telling Karamo a story about his childhood while riding a school bus. Landon says the “N” word. The full word! Karamo gets a worried look on his face. Landon says that he had to wash out his mouth with soap and that his family was very open and didn’t hate anyone.

NOTE TO PRETTY ONE: Never, never, never say the full “N” word EVER! Also, never say it within arms length of a very well built black man either! Even though you didn’t mean it in a bad way (or at least I don’t think so) don’t say it!

In the computer room, Shavonda and Karamo are talking about opening up and getting to know each other better. Karamo says that it will be around that time that he shuts down and that he will just cause sh!t! He says he doesn’t want to be labeled “the angry black man”!

NOTE TO ARROGANT ONE: You think that Willie is in another spectrum than you and now you are saying that you are shutting down. Who the hell do you think you are? You are just going to cause sh!t? We have a homosexual male equivalent to Coral!

Karamo’s mother calls and he tells her that things are not going well and if he doesn’t reactivate his brain he is going to go crazy. WTF is reactivating your brain mean? Is there a switch you can just turn on and off? How does one go about reactivating an angry black man’s brain? If someone knows, please email me ASAP!

Karamo comes out of the phone room while everyone is eating. They have steak! Willie has one of those classic lines as well as only one of about 5 lines he has this entire episode! In the background, I can hear Willie say, “There’s nothing like a thick piece of meat!”

NOTE TO SIZE QUEEN: You are so right…nothing like a 3-4 inch thick piece of meat with spices! My favorite is filet mignon dipped in garlic butter! I had to edit this because there was a comment here that was not PG-13!
