Airing in what's normally America's Next Top Model's time period, Beauty and the Geek 3 will debut with a special two-hour 8-10PM ET/PT premiere and then continue to air Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT throughout its eight week run. Like Top Model, encore broadcasts of Beauty and the Geek 3's episodes will also air Sundays at 9PM ET/PT. Top Model's currently filming eighth edition will take the time period back over once Beauty and the Geek 3 completes its eight episode run.

"In Beauty and the Geek, Ashton and Jason have created a compelling and entertaining examination of how society views appearance and intelligence, and the third edition is easily the best one yet," Dawn Ostroff, The CW’s President of Entertainment, stated in the network's announcement. "This series is the perfect companion to seamlessly bridge our two cycles of Top Model this season and continue The CW’s momentum on Wednesday nights."

Just like last winter's second edition of the reality competition show, Beauty and the Geek 3's eight "beauty" and "geek" teams will compete in a series of intellectual and social skill challenges in which the final remaining team will win $250,000. Each elimination round will feature two competitions -- one in which the "geek" tries to pass his brains on to the "beauty" and another in which the "beauty" helps the "geek" address his social awkwardness.

Among the season's "geek" challenges will be a challenge that requires the men to deliver a stand-up routine in a comedy club and another that requires them to sketch a drawing of a nude model. "Beauty" challenges will include a mock television newscast that requires the women to brush up on their current events and a museum tour guide challenge that forces the women to hit the history books.
