Coupled featured three individuals walking away from the dating process during Tuesday night's broadcast on Fox.

Javier Finlay, a 34-year-old attorney from Miami, FL -- who called himself a "traditional guy" and "hopeless romantic" -- chose to go on a date with both Alexandra "Alex" Clark, a 23-year-old radio DJ from Louisville, KY, and Alyssa Reeves, a 32-year-old model from Sherman Oaks, CA.

Javier thought he had the strongest chemistry with the energetic Alex and stunning Alyssa. He therefore passed up an opportunity to date the following girls who were also interested in him: Domonique Price, a 29-year-old attorney from Seattle WA; Brittany Lo, a 24-year-old beauty company CEO from Manhattan, NY; and Alicia Blanco, a 29-year-old executive assistant from Toluca Lake, CA.

However, after Alex and Alyssa brought Javier to a party filled with pre-existing couples from the show, Javier felt completely ignored. The two girls mainly hang out with the friends they had already made, gossiping about their relationships. Javier therefore opted not to continue forward with either woman in this journey.

Javier quit Coupled with no regrets. He said he put himself out there but simply didn't find what he was looking for. He's now optimistic about finding love in his hometown.

Meanwhile, Michelle Tam, a 28-year-old interior decorator from New York, NY, dumped Ben Rosenfield, a 36-year-old tech entrepreneur from Chicago IL, because she thought he was too flirtatious. She turned out to be right because Lisa Rotondi, a 26-year-old real estate agent from New York, NY, was interested in him.

Lisa was confused about what to do but basically chose Ben over the man she had already been dating: Taylor Hart, a 36-year-old entrepreneur from Los Angeles, CA. Ben didn't feel right about pursuing a relationship with Lisa unless he was granted Taylor's permission, so the two guys had a conversation. Although Taylor really liked Lisa, he backed down to give Ben a shot to explore his connection with her.

As Taylor was leaving Coupled, Michelle was preparing to head back to the bungalows and start the process all over again.

As for the established couples -- Lindsey Tuer, a 30-year-old sales rep from Carlsbad, CA, and Alex Lagemann, a 26-year-old musician from Hermosa Beach, CA; Lisa and Ben; Ashley Reitz, a27-year-old curve model from Marco Island, FL, and Brian "BT" Urruela, a 30-year-old romance novelist from Tampa, FL; Terecia "TT" Baker, a 26-year-old theme park princess from Alhambra, CA, and Brandon Smith, a 29-year-old former pro basketball player from Los Angeles, CA; and Kristin Kirgan, a 33-year-old photographer from Los Angeles, CA, and Jeffrey Blockson, a 30-year-old real estate investor from Chicago, IL -- they went on a shopping excursion together.

The couples were required to navigate their way around the island by using a traditional map. The challenge taught Kristin that she may not be very compatible with Jeffrey, but she was still going to give their romance a chance. BT and Ashley, on the other hand, both told the cameras they were falling in love with each other. BT also surprised Ashley with a bracelet he purchased for her during their outing.

The episode concluded with Michelle realizing she still loved her ex back home, the father of her son. Michelle genuinely missed him and acknowledged she had let a good guy go due to insignificant issues.

On her way off the island, producers surprised Michelle with a visit from her family. Her ex-boyfriend and son arrived on a boat and it was a truly heartwarming reunion. She was sad to leave Mexico but excited to take care of unfinished business.
