"I always, always wanted to have a lot of kids so A, they had each other, and B, so I could build my own family and have people at the Thanksgiving table, every single year guaranteed," Jamie, 33, told Us Weekly recently. "I really want to have at least four kids."

Jamie and Doug, who got married on Season 1 of Married at First Sight in 2014 and welcomed Henley Grace, now 2, into the world in August 2017, announced in September 2019 that Jamie is pregnant with a sibling for their daughter.

The couple revealed earlier this week they have a baby boy on the way.

The fact Jamie and Doug are expecting a boy is special because it had been an ongoing struggle for the couple to get pregnant. Prior to Henley's arrival, Jamie delivered a son, Johnathan, at 17 weeks in 2016.

Jamie is therefore considering a way to have a big family without having to carry and deliver all the babies herself.

"I want to adopt because... I was supposed to be adopted out," Jamie explained.

"And when my mom was going through such terrible drug addiction, [my siblings and I] almost ended up in foster care. I just think about all these good kids who need a loving home. So I'm definitely open to that in the future as well, but we'll see."

After Henley was born, Jamie experienced a miscarriage shortly after conception was detected about one year ago, and then in January 2019, Jamie disclosed she had lost another baby at 10 weeks, according to E! News.

The couple is therefore extremely excited about Jamie's current pregnancy.

Earlier this month, Jamie joked about trying for Baby No. 3 as soon as possible.

"We used to work on making a baby at night," Jamie said in a video posted to her Instagram Stories while sitting with her husband in bed.

"Now, he's on his phone and I'm on mine. We need to get back to making a baby... while No. 2 is brewing."

Jamie and Doug are expecting their son to arrive in May 2020. The pair reportedly know having two young children is going to be "challenging," however, because Jamie wants to make sure both of her kids feel "special and loved" at all times.

Following their stint on Married at First Sight, Jamie and Doug co-starred on Married at First Sight: The First Year, a spinoff which continued to follow the two MAFS Season 1 couples who opted to remain together during their first year of marriage.

Jamie and Doug also later starred on Married at First Sight: Jamie and Doug Plus One, their own spinoff which premiered in December 2017.

Jamie currently serves as the host of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, the show's post-episode discussion show that also airs on Lifetime.

Jamie and Doug additionally appeared on Married at First Sight: Couples Couch, which featured former MAFS couples offering commentary on encore broadcasts of the show's ninth-season episodes, this past summer.
