Donald Trump has apparently expressed interest in bringing Lindsay Lohan from the courtroom to his boardroom.

"Donald approached Lindsay about being on Celebrity Apprentice, so we'll see where it goes," mom Dina Lohan told People in a Thursday report.

"I think it's a great idea for her, but Lindsay has two movies coming up [Machete and Inferno], so I don't know if Lindsay has time. It may conflict with her schedule."

While an NBC spokesperson told The New York Post in a Thursday report that it was "too early to talk about casting" because filming for The Celebrity Apprentice's fourth season doesn't begin until later this year, a source claimed the network is interested.

"They are in advanced talks with Lindsay and Dina, but a lot depends on what happens with Lindsay's legal issues," the source told The Post.

The oft-troubled actress is currently sporting a court-ordered alcohol-monitoring bracelet on her ankle, and Dina reiterated her daughters legal problems could hinder her potential involvement.

"She can't leave L.A., the judge won't even let Lindsay go to Texas to shoot Machete, so I just don't know if it'll work out," she told People.

In addition, Dina said Lindsay is slated to meet with Trump this week to discuss the possibility of her competing on the reality series.

"He's a very good friend of the family and he's had our back for years," Dina told People. "He's a great dad, and he would do anything to help us."

This isn't the first time Trump has attempted to cast Lindsay on The Celebrity Apprentice.  She was one of the celebrity participants Trump had expressed interest in casting in 2007 prior to The Celebrity Apprentice's first season.
