A&E Networks has announced it's reviving the Intervention reality series on its LMN network.

LMN, formerly known as Lifetime Movie Network, has ordered 15 all-new episodes of Intervention for broadcast in early 2015.

Intervention was canceled by LMN's A&E sister network after thirteen seasons following its July 2013 finale. Production on the new season begins this summer.

"Over the course of 13 seasons on A&E, Intervention wove itself into the fabric of pop culture and brought global awareness to addiction and treatment options," LMN President Jana Bennett said in a statement. "The stories profiled on this series are profoundly powerful and we are proud to continue it on LMN."

Intervention profiles people whose uncontrollable addiction to drugs, alcohol or compulsive behavior has brought them to the brink and follows them as they are presented with the life-changing opportunity of an intervention and rehab.

Each episode follows addicts through their daily lives and shows how their dependency affects friends and family. Once the addicts are seemingly at the point of no return, their loved ones stage a surprise intervention conducted by a drug-addiction specialist in the hopes they'll turn their lives around before it's too late.

Original interventionists Jeff Van Vonderen and Candy Finnigan will be returning to the series.

Intervention is produced by GRB Entertainment and executive produced by Gary R. Benz, Michael Branton, Jeffrey L. Weaver, Laura Fleury, and Jen Wagman. The show was originally created by Sam Mettler.
