Bachelor in Paradise star Jeremy Simon has explained why he and most of his co-stars were so angry at Brian Autz for telling Bailey Taylor Brown about Jeremy's phone call with Susie Evans.

Not only did Jeremy call Susie on the phone and beg for her to return to Paradise behind Bailey's back, but he also told Brian that he'd propose marriage to Susie on the spot if she ever came back.
Jeremy never came clean to Bailey about his actions, and so Brian took it upon himself to warn Bailey about the guy she was falling in love with.
"If people don't want to believe me, they don't have to. But I genuinely was going to tell her," Jeremy told Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt during a recent episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.
"The reason I was so pissed at Brian was because I feel like that opportunity was taken away from me."
Jeremy clarified, "Sure, I technically had a few days of opportunity; I just felt like because it's me and Bailey's relationship, I should be able to tell her when I feel it's the right time to tell her."
Jeremy pointed out how Bachelor in Paradise filmed for over three weeks yet all of the footage showing him longing for Susie happened over the course of three short days.
"I wasn't worried about [anyone telling Bailey], because I thought it was my place to tell her," Jeremy recalled, adding, "There wasn't a thought in my head that Brian was going to tell her."
Since Jeremy claimed he was "100 percent" thinking about how -- and when -- he was going to tell Bailey, he viewed Brian's conversation with Bailey as a betrayal and a breach in bro code, as did many of his Paradise friends.
While Brian claimed he had told Bailey the truth because he loved her as a person and they were good friends, Jeremy said no one saw that on the beach.
"I think he was trying to play the game and he thought it was a good move," Jeremy said, referencing how the couples thought they were competing for a $500,000 prize."

Jeremy said there were "a few reasons" why the Bachelor in Paradise cast turned against Brian.
"They don't think that Brian should've inserted himself into someone else's relationship when he had his own relationship [with Parisa Shifteh] to work on," Jeremy explained.
"And I think as much as Brian wants to say, 'Oh, I love Bailey and I'm friends with her,' I don't think anyone actually thought that. They thought he was doing it as gameplay -- a strategic move to maybe send us home and keep himself there."
Jeremy also explained that the rest of the Paradise cast "knew how strong of a relationship" he and Bailey had.
"We had one of the strongest, if not THE strongest, there, genuinely, at the time," Jeremy insisted.
"And the phone call and my comments were really such a small thing that happened. And people know who I am as a person, and they know that I was there for Bailey. I just don't think they like how Brian went about it."

"I guess I could see why America was surprised, but I don't think anyone in the cast was surprised," Jeremy shared.
Jeremy concluded that he believes Brian had thrown him under the bus for malicious and self-serving reasons and so he doesn't respect what Brian did.

Andrew Spencer recently stood up for Jeremy on "The Viall Files" by saying that Brian had suspicious timing and was never good friends with Bailey.
Andrew admitted that he thought Brian was being "sleazy" and didn't talk to Bailey "in good faith."
But on the other side of the coin, Andrew pointed out that the most of the cast -- who had knowledge of Jeremy and Susie's phone call -- had no idea about the extent in which Jeremy was missing Susie.
Many of Jeremy's comments about Susie apparently shocked Andrew watching Bachelor in Paradise unfold on TV this summer.
"I didn't know he was saying that to Brian, and I never knew he was saying anything about Susie since that," Andrew noted.
For Brian's part, he said he doesn't regret telling Bailey, even though the whole situation put a big target on his back.
After Brian talked to Bailey about Jeremy's shocking comments, Bailey cried and nearly quit the show.
But when Bailey confronted Jeremy about Brian's claims, Jeremy promised Bailey that he really cared for her and only had eyes for her.
Jeremy also denied ever saying that he'd propose marriage to Susie if she came back to the show. (Jeremy claimed on "Bachelor Happy Hour" that statement was just a joke and he doesn't even remember saying it).
