Brian faced backlash and was nearly voted out of the Bachelor in Paradise cast during the Rose Ceremony that aired on August 11. (In the end, however, Golden couple Faith Martin and Kim Buike were eliminated).
However, Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams told the cameras that Brian had done the right thing and breaking so-called "bro code" with Jeremy was more like breaking "douche code" in his opinion.
"I think the thing is, I see both sides," Bailey admitted during a recent appearance on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast co-hosted by Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile.
"I am so grateful that Brian told me. I would've hated to come off of this and have this conversation and be like, 'Oh I went through this entire season and not known this had happened and these comments were made.'"
Bailey admitted she "would have been distraught" to find out about Jeremy's infatuation with Susie while watching Bachelor in Paradise's tenth season back on ABC.
"It's still really hard, processing every single episode. I think it's going to take me a while to really process it all," Bailey said.
"But in regards to everyone going against Brian, obviously earlier that night -- when I thought he was being really sneaky -- I was like, 'No, Brian's got to go. He's being sneaky.' And then learning that he wasn't, I was so thankful and grateful to him."
Bailey said she wishes the cast would've viewed the situation from a different perspective.
"I kind of wish that people would have seen that maybe you guys should've just told me and we wouldn't have gotten to this moment where, like, people are scared they're going to go home," Bailey explained.
"I felt like the reason Brian told me is because he was slightly scared. He could've gone home the week before and he was like, 'I didn't want to leave knowing that no one was going to tell you or knowing that people were going to wait to tell you, and I knew this and I didn't tell you.'"

Bailey recalled how Brian's actions were probably "a mix" of things.
"Obviously he's had some freak-out moments [like with Parisa Shifteh] in the pool, and so I think it's a double-edged sword where they're like, 'Can we trust you?' Also, these things are kind of happening," Bailey said.
(Andrew Spencer recently claimed on "The Viall Files" podcast that Brian had treated Parisa poorly on the beach and that's one of the reasons people turned against him).
"I kind of wish that people would've just listened to me and been like, 'Guys, I'm not mad at Brian. Him and Parisa's relationship, that's a different thing. If you guys are voting based off that, that's what it is,'" Bailey noted.
Bailey said she "understood" Jeremy's opinion that Brian had "broken bro code" with him.
"But I'm also still really grateful to Brian in that moment because I was just like, 'Well, no one's going to tell me,' and I would have hated not knowing about that," Bailey reasoned.
"So it's kind of hard. What can you do at that time and in that moment? But also, to be fair, we didn't really have that much drama going on, so it did feel like, 'Boom!' It was so intense."

"I think it kind of got out, but I didn't tell anyone that he had told me," Bailey insisted.
"I made it seem like he was coming to me to talk about Parisa. So, yeah, that was kind of hard. And I mean, him and Parisa's relationship... that's a different thing."
Bailey acknowledged how she can "understand" the guys' perspective but she also has to take her own perspective into account.
"I think everyone in that moment should've thought about my feelings and not about maybe how betrayed you feel," Bailey snapped.
"Because how betrayed do you think I feel? So it's hard. I'm not going to talk about Brian's character and stuff, but... I'm glad that he told me and I think it's something that I needed to know. I wish it was sooner rather than later, or that it never happened!"

Bailey admitted it's "really hard" when everyone's "in on a joke" and you're not in on it.
"It kind of felt like my love life is unfortunately the joke that everyone's in on," Bailey lamented.
Bailey said she felt so close to her friends in Paradise that the secret hurt even more because she would've liked to have heard about the phone call from Jeremy or a girl with whom she felt very connected.
Bailey also said she believed that Brian was "coming from a genuine place" in telling her about Jeremy.
"But even if it's coming from a genuine place, there is still a way it can be beneficial to you," Bailey said.
"But I still felt like Brian was coming from a genuine place, and he really expressed that in our conversation. Do I wish he had done it in that 'secret rendezvous' way? No, because that caught me really off-guard."

Not only did Brian tell Bailey that Jeremy had called Susie on the phone and begged for her to return to Paradise, but he also dropped the bombshell that Jeremy had said he'd propose to Susie on the spot if she ever came back.
Given Bailey and Jeremy were a strong couple over a month into their Paradise journey, Bailey broke down into tears and threatened to quit the show when $500,000 was still on the line.
Brian shared during the August 13 episode of "The Viall Files" that he does not regret telling Bailey about Jeremy's feelings for Susie.
During Andrew's appearance on Nick Viall's podcast, he explained how the Paradise men had an issue with Brian's timing.
"I think the biggest thing that everyone's not really seeing is how long [Brian] knew about this knowledge and the timing in which he brought it up," Andrew explained on the August 12 episode.
"When the money and the competition became a thing, [he was like], 'Oh, I think this is a good time for me to tell Bailey!' That doesn't make any sense to me."
Brian said if he had threatened Jeremy or any of Bailey's friends to speak up, he probably "would've ended up in the same place."
The Bachelorette 21 alum therefore concluded, "I stand by what I did."
When Bailey ultimately confronted Jeremy about Brian's claims on the show, Jeremy promised Bailey that he really cared for her and only had eyes for her.
Jeremy also denied ever saying that he'd propose marriage to Susie if she came back to Paradise.
Bailey ended up forgiving Jeremy and the pair decided to move forward in Paradise together. Susie also defended Jeremy during her own appearance on "The Viall Files."
