Bachelor in Paradise star Jeremy Simon has revealed what he thinks would've happened had Susie Evans returned to Paradise for him and if he wishes he had given her a rose instead of Bailey Taylor Brown.

Jeremy enjoyed a great date with Susie and seemed torn between the two women, but he ended up giving Bailey his rose at the subsequent Rose Ceremony, resulting in Susie's early and unexpected elimination.

Once Susie was gone, Jeremy thought he and Bailey were all in, but then Bailey accepted a date with Andrew Spencer.

Bailey's decision made Jeremy spiral and question everything, and so he called Susie on the phone and begged her to return to Paradise so they could give their romance another shot.

"I was feeling betrayed and had a tough time deciding who to give the rose to, [so I thought], 'Let's call Susie,'" Jeremy recalled during a recent episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.

Susie, clearly feeling emotionally depleted after her reunion with ex-boyfriend Justin Glaze on the show, declined Jeremy's offer.

"Obviously Susie said no, and if she said yes, I don't even know what I would do," Jeremy admitted to the podcast's co-hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

"I feel like I really wasn't thinking!"

Jeremy admitted if Susie had turned the car around and drove back to the resort, he would've been dumbfounded.

"[The phone call] was in the heat of the moment. I don't like to live with regrets. I wish I handled it a bit differently... and more maturely," Jeremy said, adding that he should've slept on the decision and not jumped right into begging Susie for a second chance.

But Jeremy's heart was apparently with Bailey all along, and Bailey ran back into Jeremy's arms after her date with Andrew.

Jeremy is now claiming that had he known Susie was going to self-eliminate, he still would've given Bailey his rose.

"I know I made the comments in thinking that Susie was [still] going to be there [after the Rose Ceremony], which was true," Jeremy explained.

"I had a feeling that someone else, as in Justin, was going to extend the rose to her, but I don't think my decision would've changed. I still would've given Bailey the rose."

Jeremy said he and Bailey had a strong connection right off the bat but when Susie arrived "it was still early on" and he didn't want to close himself off to any potential opportunities.

"Susie is a great girl and I thought we had great conversation. We were smiling and laughing a lot on the date, and I think that's what made it tough," Jeremy explained.

He added, "Both with Susie and Bailey, I wasn't expecting either of them and I was surprised by both."

Jeremy said at that point in the process, it was difficult to picture the future with either woman.

"So early on, you don't know what the future is going to be like and you don't know what life is going to be like," Jeremy noted.

"No matter what, it's kind of a gamble when you're making that decision, so I just went with my gut."

Jeremy admitted that choosing between Bailey and Susie felt like he was The Bachelor star.

"I was in a tough position where I kind of felt like the Bachelor, and I'm definitely not the Bachelor. I was making this tough decision and I ended up picking Bailey, of course," Jeremy recalled.

After Susie rejected Jeremy on the phone, Jeremy and Bailey continued dating.

But Jeremy appeared to be secretly pining for Susie behind Bailey's back. Jeremy also never told Bailey about the phone call or his lingering feelings for Susie.

Jeremy also expressed regret about having given his rose to Bailey instead of Susie during a conversation with Brian Autz.

Jeremy was shown venting to Brian in a hotel room before the "Birds of Paradise" competition about how he wished Susie was his girl.

Brian later let Bailey know that Jeremy had asked Susie to come back and even said he'd "propose to Susie on the spot" if she ever came back to Paradise.

Bachelor in Paradise viewers were able to witness Jeremy and Brian's shocking conversation over a month into the Paradise process, and it seemed like Jeremy -- who was basically hiding in a corner and covering his microphone -- thought he was off-camera.

When Bailey confronted Jeremy about Brian's claims, Jeremy insisted that he only had eyes for Bailey.

Bailey was clearly hurt and briefly considered quitting Paradise, but she ultimately chose to forgive Jeremy.

Bachelor Nation has since been slamming Jeremy for playing Bailey and dragging her along, seemingly to win the $500,000 prize.

Bailey recently said that Bachelor in Paradise has been "horrible" to watch back but she's doing okay, and Brian said he has no regrets about telling Bailey the truth when neither Jeremy or her girlfriends were willing to speak up.
