Married at First Sight star Dave Flaherty didn't exactly find his wife Amber Martorana's "meltdowns" to be very attractive while filming Season 7.

One issue seemed to be Amber's "strong emotional reactions to little things at times," according to Dave.
As shown in a clip on Tuesday night's broadcast of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, which is hosted by Season 1 cast member Jamie Otis, Amber couldn't find clean socks one day and was "really upset" about having to go about her day without socks.
"She didn't have a pair of clean socks which resulted in a little bit of a meltdown, if I'm being honest," Dave told Jamie on the Unfiltered broadcast, before defining his meaning of a "meltdown."
"There was strong language being used. There was items of clothes being thrown. She was very upset that she didn't have clean socks. And my reaction was kind of like, 'This is a minor issue,' sort of, 'This shouldn't be a big deal.'"
Dave, however, takes responsibility for how he handled the situation.
"Maybe where I can grow is that -- so she had a momentary meltdown and that five minutes was on her, but then I was annoyed for the next two hours. I kind of shut down, like, 'This is ridiculous. I don't want to deal with this,'" Dave recalled.

"I think the hard part for me is that Amber has these really strong reactions to little things that I don't see as issues, and I don't know how to respond to them. I'm put in a situation where I'm like, 'Okay, something so small just happened and you've had this really big emotional reaction. And I want to be there for you and I want to do the right thing, but I don't know what that is.'"
When Jamie asked Dave whether Amber's behavior was "exhausting," the reality TV star didn't deny it.
"It is exhausting. It's a lot," Dave confessed.

"It's a lot to handle. It's a lot, you know, I don't know Amber that well. It's not like we've been dating for the last three or four years and we built this really solid foundation and then I know what her response to not having clean socks is."
He continued, "But this is all brand new information to me, so I'm seeing it for the first time and being like, 'Whoa. That's a weird reaction to not having clean socks.'"

Jamie then asked, "Do you think your responses are half the battle in your guys' relationship?"
"That's such a good question. I think, sure, that's fair to say," Dave replied on Married at First Sight: Unfiltered.
"But I also think the initial reaction is more than the response, maybe. I didn't always respond well to her initial reactions to situations, but I also think, like, 'Have a little bit more self-awareness of what's going on.' I don't know. Yeah it's a tough question of, 'What's the bigger deal? The response or the reaction?'"
Danielle Bergman, who also stars on Season 7 of Married at First Sight, then said in Dave's defense, "I empathize a lot with Dave. I don't do well with people that have super-strong reactions to minuscule things."
Danielle is married to Bobby Dodd on the Lifetime reality series. The other couple starring on this season is Tristan Thompson and Mia Bally.
