Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa's divorce from Christina El Moussa has been plagued by rumors and speculation, and he seems completed fed up with it all.

"No matter the lies, innuendo, salacious gossip and 'fake news' that it thrown at me from irresponsible media outlets via anonymous sources, I will keep my focus on what matters most which is co-parenting our children and working hard on our business," Tarek wrote Wednesday on Instagram.

Tarek's statement follows an In Touch Weekly report claiming an eyewitness saw Tarek verbally abusing Christina on the set of Flip or Flop and calling her a "whore." The cover story also alleges Tarek put his estranged wife "through hell" and is "hiding dark secrets."

Tarek filed for divorce earlier this month citing irreconcilable differences. In the paperwork, he's asking for joint custody of their daughter Taylor, 6, and son Brayden, 16 months, as well as spousal support from Christina.

The HGTV stars announced on December 12 they were splitting after seven years of marriage. They were already living apart and both began dating other people prior to the announcement of their separation.

Christina and Tarek, who tied the knot in May 2009, said in a joint media statement last month that "challenges" and an "unfortunate misunderstanding" from more than six months ago are the reasons behind their breakup.

In light of news Christina is reportedly dating a contractor, Gary Anderson, whom has worked for her in the past, conflicting information from sources has circulated as to whether infidelity played any role in the demise of their marriage. Tarek and Christina, however, recently denied cheating allegations.

The seventh season of the couple's HGTV reality series, Flip or Flop, debuted on December 1. Later that month, a source told E! News additional episodes of Flip or Flop will be filmed in 2017 in order to fulfill contractual obligations, however, "the show will end after that."

Tarek and Christina are determined to continue the show together by handling the divorce process "civilly and cooperatively."

"We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina's great work on Flip or Flop," HGTV said in a statement last month.

"When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children. HGTV is currently airing episodes of Flip or Flop and the series will continue production as scheduled."
