Survivor: Pearl Islands was first in viewers (22.10 million) and the Adults 25-54 (9.9/23) demographic for the hour, and second behind NBC's double-shot of Friends in households (12.6/19, -0.1 behind NBC) and the Adults 18-49 demographic with a 8.3/21 rating/share. Survivor won both half-hours in viewers for the third consecutive week and only the third time ever since Survivor: The Australian Outback aired in Spring 2001. At 8:00 PM, Survivor edged out NBC's original episode of Friends with 21.04 million viewers to NBC's 20.30 million.

Versus a repeat episode of Friends at 8:30PM, Survivor was up +9% in households (13.2/20 from 12.1/19), +14% in adults 25-54 (10.5/23 from 9.2/22), +14% in adults 18-49 (8.9/22 from 7.8/21) and added +2.11 million viewers (23.15 million from 21.04 million) from the 8:00PM delivery.

This is Survivor: Pearl Islands' best delivery in households and viewers to date, matches the best delivery in adults 25-54 (equaling the September 18 90-minute premiere) and posts the best delivery in adults 18-49 since the 90-minute premiere that drew 21.50 million viewers.
