The Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman unexpectedly chose to eliminate three bachelors when she didn't have to during Monday night's broadcast of the ABC reality dating series' tenth season.

Patrick Jagodzinski, a 29-year-old advertising executive from Newport Beach, CA; Andrew Poole, a 30-year-old social media marketer from Culver City, CA; and Marquel Martin, a 26-year-old sponsorship salesman from Las Vegas, NV, were all ousted traditionally during the fifth episode's Rose Ceremony.

"I came here for the opportunity to fall in love. Unfortunately, it just wasn't in God's plan for me right now. But meeting Andi made me a believer in love again, and to just be out of place where I'm feeling again, I'm not anything special. But I want love real bad, you know what I mean!? It's just something that I look forward to, you know?" Marquel said in tears following his ouster.

The Bachelorette's fifth tenth-season episode featured three dates: two one-on-one dates and one group date.

Andi and her bachelors took off to Marseille, France, for her week's group of dates. Josh Murray, a 29-year-old former professional baseball player from Atlanta, GA, soon learned he'd receive the first one-on-one date.

Before Andi embarked on her adventure with Josh, she sat down in an interview with host Chris Harrison, who asked the Bachelorette if she was falling in love.

"Stop! Don't ask me that," Andi said while blushing.

"Are you?" Chris asked.

Andi swore and didn't have a response, so Chris yelled out, "So busted."

Andi then admitted she was falling in love with more than one guy, which amazed her.

Afterward, Josh and Andi walked the streets of Marseille, ate lunch and sailed on a river. She said the physical chemistry they had was "insane," but he was also her typical athlete-type, and similar-looking guys she had dated in the past didn't work out. Josh talked to Andi about how he wanted a family badly and that's why he gave up baseball.

Meanwhile, nine guys discovered they must share the week's group date, and the date card strangely had no hint as to what they'd be doing.

They were: Andrew; Patrick; Marquel; Marcus Grodd, a 25-year-old sports medicine manager from Dallas, TX; Dylan Petitt, a 26-year-old accountant from Boston, MA; Chris Soules, a 32-year-old farmer from Arlington, IA; Cody Sattler, a 28-year-old personal trainer from Chicago, IL; JJ O'Brien, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from San Francisco, CA; and Nick Viall, a 33-year-old software sales executive from Chicago, IL.

Back on Andi and Josh's date, they sat at The Calanques, which are rocks that overlook the Mediterranean Sea. Andi began to worry all she had with Josh was a physical connection -- like she had experienced with Juan Pablo Galavis, and that clearly ended horribly.

Around the same time, drama was ensuing surrounding Andrew again. JJ told Marquel that Andrew had made a comment at the first Rose Ceremony along the lines of, "Wow, Andi gave roses to the two 'blackies,'" which had also been referring to Ron Worrell when he was still on the show.

Marquel felt disrespected and angry. He tried to gather his thoughts before confronting Andrew or doing something he'd forget. Marquel then got emotional, saying he wished people would get to know him for who he is rather than immediately dub him as "a black guy."

On Andi's date, she enjoyed dinner with Josh at Palais Longchamp. Andi was searching for a personal, mental and emotional connection, so the pair dove into a serious, deep conversation. Andi revealed to Josh she had been cheated on and attributed it to the athlete lifestyle.

Josh felt a little judged by her since the beginning and begged her not to view him as that kind of guy. Josh insisted he would never cheat and had actually been the one to be cheated on in the past by a girlfriend he had really cared for.

Both parties clearly had trust issues, and Josh claimed the next time he'd say, "I love you," it'd be to the woman he plans to marry. He then explained to Andi his feelings for her were very strong and he hadn't felt that way in a long time.

In return, Andi gave him the date's rose and told him she was lowering her guard around him. Afterward, they danced and kissed during a private concert from Ben Fields. Josh told the cameras he was on the path to falling in love with Andi.

The next day, Andi and her nine group-date bachelors learned how to mime. The guys laughed at how much they sucked and then went outside to perform in front of a live audience, who weren't entertained. Andi loved Marquel's personality and JJ's attitude. All the while, Nick looked miserable and appeared to not be having a good time.

Meanwhile, Brian Osborne, a 27-year-old basketball coach from Camp Hill, PA, learned he'd be accompanying Andi on the next one-on-one date.

During the group date, JJ kissed Andi on a Ferris wheel and many of the guys were getting annoyed with Nick acting like he was the season's frontrunner. Nick told Cody and Patrick he just had confidence in his relationship with Andi, but the guys didn't think he was going about the process in a gentlemanly way. They thought Nick had a "smug demeanor," and then Nick admitted to the guys he "probably" thought he was the frontrunner, which didn't go over well.

Andi could tell something was off with the guys and sensed the tension. Therefore, she asked Chris what was happening during their alone time. Chris explained Nick didn't handle himself well after his first one-on-one date, and Andi couldn't help but question Nick's character since the sweetest guy in the house didn't even speak positively of Nick.

Cody then lost it with Nick, yelling at the suitor for mocking him for being "thankful" in the competition. Nick just thought they were teasing one another at the time he had made such a comment. Cody then explained to Andi why he was upset and she later confronted Nick, telling him he had been acting very "salty."

Nick insisted to Andi that group dates were hard for him because they were just so unnatural and he wanted to spend all of his time with her -- not the other guys. He also admitted he had pissed Cody off, taking responsibility for his actions yet downplaying the incident at the same time. Andi wondered if he was being manipulative and she was being fooled by him.

However, despite the guys telling her unflattering things about Nick, Andi was sure she had a mental and emotional connection with him that was "off the charts." Nick also read her a sweet letter he had written, revealing simultaneously he was not her "secret admirer." Andi just hoped she wasn't oblivious to who Nick really is as a person.

Meanwhile, Marquel confronted Andrew about being called a "blackie," and Andrew denied the whole things, saying that was "absurd" and he had never made a comment like that in his entire life. Marquel calmly explained he was sensitive and serious about the topic of race and he had trouble respecting Andrew.

Andrew told Marquel that he viewed him as a friend and didn't treat or judge any of the guys in the house based on their race, background, financial state, etc. Andrew later said in a confessional that people were making claims to get ahead. He then told Andi it was tough to date her in such a competitive atmosphere with all the drama that was going on.

On the group date, JJ got the rose for making her feel special and taking advantage of every moment they had together.

The next day, Andi embarked on her solo date with Brian. She loved how easy and fun he was. The pair saw a movie together, snuggled and ate popcorn. Brian said it was his ideal date.

Afterward, the couple went to a local outdoor market and picked out special ingredients for their dinner that night. Andi wanted them to cook up a meal themselves, and she surprisingly picked frog legs to whip up.

While they were cooking, Brian was completely uncomfortable because he had no idea what he was doing. Andi didn't like how standoffish he was acting, and she began to worry maybe they didn't have a future together because what should've been a romantic date turned out to be the complete opposite.

Brian realized the situation was awkward and he had failed to show Andy his feelings for her or any affection.

"It was a bummer," Andi said in a confessional, adding that she liked the aggressive and passionate side of Brian.

Because their food ended up tasting terribly, Andi brought Brian out to a restaurant where they enjoyed a real dinner. Brian immediately stepped up his game and explained to Andi he should've and wanted to kiss her multiple times in the kitchen. Brian explained he strategized too much and then snuck in a kiss. Andi began to believe in their relationship again.

Andi ended up giving Brian a rose as a symbol of progression. Every time she saw him, she looked forward to the next step. Brian was very relieved, and then he whisked her away to the back of the restaurant to lay a big kiss on her.

Before the Rose Ceremony began, Andi revealed to Chris Harrison she didn't want to go through with a cocktail party. She was sure about whom she wanted to remain in the running and which relationships just weren't going anywhere. Andi was beginning to see real possibilities of finding love, and in order to do that, she wanted to cut to the chase and make a big cut.

Therefore, in complete certainty, Andi wanted to oust three men without giving them another chance to talk to her. Many of the guys, such as Marquel, were anxious for one-on-one time and never got it. Cody and Patrick also felt uneasy about their chances, as Cody, for example, had planned to really open up to Andi that night.

Besides JJ, Josh and Brian, Andi handed out roses to Marcus, Nick, Chris, Dylan, and Cody in that exact order.

"I came here with absolutely sincere intentions, which was to fall in love with And. But the unfortunate reality is that I've been bullied, I've been at the receiving end of these, sort of, aggressions in the house. It's not fair, and so, I stand here being sent home disappointed, frustrated, sucks. Really sucks," Andrew said following his ouster.

"Am I surprised that I'm walking out of the door this evening? Yes. I don't get it. The problem that occurred was, she didn't get to fully experience me. It's unfortunate; It truly is. Because I've heard from multiple people -- not just girls -- that I have qualities that are really paramount when it comes to being a husband. Andi didn't get to see those. She missed something by having me walk out that door," Patrick explained.
