Jeremy Simon has claimed that what Bachelor in Paradise showed of his emotional confrontation with Bailey Taylor Brown "is not at all what happened."

On Bachelor in Paradise's tenth season, Brian warned Bailey that Jeremy regretted not giving Susie his rose and had even called Susie on the phone to ask if she'd come back to the resort and continue dating him.

Brian also dropped the bombshell that Jeremy had said he's propose marriage to Susie on the spot if she returned to Paradise.

Bailey subsequently woke Jeremy up from his sleep and tearfully confronted him about the allegations. It appeared Bailey asked a couple questions, Jeremy went back to bed, and then Bailey considered quitting the show.

"I honestly don't even remember the first minute of that conversation," Jeremy told Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile during the Thursday, August 21 episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.

"That was going to be my night to catch up on sleep. I was in such a deep sleep, and when I woke up, I was like, 'What is going on?!' But obviously I woke up very quickly."

Jeremy revealed "there were apologies that happened" and didn't air on ABC.

"I apologized and we talked a little bit, and we pretty much agreed that we could continue the conversation the next morning after," Jeremy explained.

"Because I wanted to give her time to digest things. I think the part that kind of sucks about all of that is that it kind of made it seem like we have this short conversation and I just don't care and go to sleep, which is not at all what happened, just to be very clear on that."

Jeremy insisted that he had a conversation with Bailey and then she was pulled away for an interview.

"I tried saying goodnight to her and to continue talking to her for probably 45 minutes," Jeremy claimed.

"So then when you see me all angry by the bar, I was looking for her! I just wanted to say goodnight to her and to talk to her. And then I was like, 'F-ck it, I'm just going to sleep,' after, like, an hour."

Jeremy shared how he "apologized for a bunch of things" during his 45-minute chat with Bailey.

"I [apologized] obviously for the phone call, first off, and secondly, for not telling her," Jeremy recalled.

"Thirdly, for her needing to find out from someone else that wasn't me. She was very upset, and I hate seeing her cry. So I really just wanted to make sure she was in an okay headspace, or as okay as she could be."

But Jeremy admitted that he didn't try to "influence her or sell her" on being with him.

"I was like, 'I f-cked up. I want to be with you.' She asked me if I want to be with [Susie], and I said, 'No, I haven't thought about her in a long time. I want to be with you,'" Jeremy claimed.

"And I know she needed to gather her thoughts and I know she needed to digest things and sleep on it. And that's what I wanted to let her do. And we pretty much said that we would talk and go on a walk the next day."

Jeremy said he "really didn't know" how things were going to go the next day because "she was an hour late" to their walk.

"I don't blame her. She had a rough night. So I think at first, I was kind of nervous," Jeremy recalled of his meeting with Bailey the next day.

"There was a part of our conversation where I asked her, like, 'Do you even want to accept my rose later?' It was the same day as the Rose Ceremony. And she said yes, so we kind of talked about things."

Bailey, for example, asked Jeremy to confirm he had said he'd propose marriage to Susie if she came back.

Jeremy was shown lying to Bailey by promising he had never said that -- when Bachelor in Paradise footage showed otherwise -- but he explained to Joe and Serena how he truly didn't remember making that comment to Brian.

Once Jeremy watched the show back and was proven wrong, he insisted that it was just a joke at the time but it was definitely cringeworthy.

Jeremy shared that, in hindsight, he wishes he had told Bailey about Susie the night he was catching up on sleep or during their one-on-one date, even though he didn't want to ruin the mood at the time.

"I was genuinely going to tell her... and that opportunity was taken away from me," Jeremy said.

Jeremy admitted that even though he definitely dragged his feet on coming clean to Bailey, people should've let him be the one to break the news.

"It was my place to tell her... It was a hard watch, and obviously I don't like seeing Bailey like that," Jeremy said.

But Jeremy acknowledged how he couldn't change what happened and so the couple just "needed to move on from that."
