Big Brother's houseguests began the first part of Season 17's final Head of Household competition during Sunday night's broadcast on CBS.

The Big Brother episode began with the Final 3 celebrating how far they've made it on the show.

Steve Moses confronted Vanessa Rousso about whether she had already made a Final 2 deal with Liz Nolan. Vanessa completely denied it, giving Steve her word that she wanted to go to the end with him.

Vanessa absolutely made a Final 2 deal with Liz because all that mattered to her was giving both competitors a reason to take her to the Final 2 if they were to win the final HoH competition. Vanessa was going to tell both Steve and Vanessa exactly what they wanted to hear.

Steve didn't really believe Vanessa was solely loyal to him, but if anything, he preferred to take Liz to the end instead anyways.

Steve was convinced Vanessa would beat him in the end but he'd have a shot to defeat Liz in the jury votes. Steve also thought voting out Vanessa would win him major points with the jury since it would be such a big move.

For Part 1 of the final HoH competition, dubbed "How 'Bout Them Apples," required the players to sit on giant apples while being dipped into a liquid and then slammed against a soft wall. They had to hold on for as long as they possibly could, and the winner would automatically advance to the third -- and final -- part of the competition.

The competition will resume Wednesday night with Big Brother's seventeenth-season finale. The finale will air at 9:30PM ET/PT on CBS, directly after the premiere of Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance.
