Bachelor Pad creator and executive producer Mike Fleiss has hinted that the show, which throws former The Bachelorette and The Bachelor contestants in the same house to compete for money and romantic dates, will return in the future despite this year's absence.

"I have a good feeling it will be back next summer," Fleiss told Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview. "I love Bachelor Pad."

Bachelor Pad fans were shocked to discover in March the series will not be returning to ABC for a fourth season this summer.

"I really wanted to give it a break because I did not feel like we had enough superstars to populate the pad," Fleiss explained. "I thought it might be good to give it a break for a little while -- let the fans starve for it a little bit so that next summer when it comes back..."

Bachelor Pad's third season concluded last summer with Nick Peterson and Rachel Truehart being crowned its winning couple and Peterson claiming the $250,000 prize all for himself much to his partner's shock and dismay.
