The Voice host Carson Daly announced Kat Perkins from Scranton, ND, and Kristen Merlin from Nashua, NH, were ousted from the reality singing competition after being voted into the bottom three by home viewers following Monday night's Top 5 performance show.

Kat, who had previously been saved twice in the competition, represented coach Adam Levine's team. Kristen was on coach Shakira's team.

Kat and Kristen were joined in the bottom three by Christina Grimmie from Vorhees, NJ, who is also on "Team Adam."

Although Christina didn't necessarily receive the most votes among the bottom-three members after Monday night's broadcast, America saved her via the show's "Instant Save" twist, which was introduced last season. The "Instant Save" allows home viewers to determine which member of each week's bottom vote-getters will be saved from elimination.

Once the bottom-three results were revealed last night, each artist had a chance to sing for survival in order to prove why she deserved to remain in the competition. Kat performed "Good Girl," Kristen sang "Blown Away," and Christina took the stage with a rendition of "Apologize."

America then had a five-minute window to tweet the name of their favorite artist in jeopardy whom they wished to save in the competition. Christina received the most tweets during Tuesday night's show.

The Voice's Top 3 artists, who will perform in next week's sixth-season finale, are as follows: Christina; Jake Worthington from La Porte, TX; and Josh Kaufman from Sarasota, FL. Jake represents coach Blake Shelton's team. Josh is on "Team Usher." Shakira's team has been wiped out entirely.
