MTV has apparently decided to borrow a page from Bravo's playbook and begin giving its Teen Mom reality series The Real Housewives treatment.

MTV has begun filming a second Teen Mom reality series that will follow the lives of a group of young, unmarried mothers, The New York Post reported Tuesday.

Similar to Teen Mom's current edition, at least some of the young mothers starring in the new version are reportedly believed to have previously appeared on 16 and Pregnant, the reality series that MTV spun Teen Mom off from last year.

MTV declined to confirm the new spinoff went contacted by The Post.

"We're always exploring new production ideas, but can't confirm anything at this time," a spokeswoman said.

Teen Mom's current edition -- which drew nearly six million viewers for its second-season finale last week -- will not be impacted by the new version and will still return for a third season with its current cast, The Post reported.
