Married at First Sight featured one couple consummating their marriage while another has yet to even make out, during the seventh episode of the Lifetime show's sixth season on Tuesday night.

The six strangers who agreed to marry at first sight were Jaclyn Schwartzberg, a 29-year-old teacher turned sales representative; Ryan Buckley, a 29-year-old firefighter; Molly Duff, a 25-year-old commercial insurance adjuster; Jonathan Francetic, a 28-year-old U.S. Army veteran and former financial associate; Shawniece Jackson, a 29-year-old entrepreneur and cosmetologist; and Jephte Pierre, a 26-year-old second grade teacher.

Matched by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Jessica Griffin, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Pastor Calvin Roberson, Jaclyn married Ryan, Molly walked down the aisle to Jonathan, and Shawniece became a wife to Jephte.

Almost three weeks into the arranged marriages, Shawniece and Jephte have totally flipped the script and become one of the strongest couples on the show. Molly and Jonathan, however, have fallen way behind the pack in terms of physical and emotional intimacy.

Tuesday's broadcast kicked off on Day 14 of the marriages, with Shawniece crying to Jephte about her needing him to open up and let her in.

"It's really hard going through this process and feeling like you're alone," she said.

Jephte admitted to the cameras he didn't like to show his romantic side that often, but he surprised her with a card and red rose. Jephte joked that he would buy her a rose every time he "messed up."

Jephte's card apologized to Shawniece for shutting down and projecting his anger "from this TV bullsh-t" onto her. He was starting to realize how protecting himself might be hurting her.

"I hope you don't think it was intentional," Jephte continued in the card. "From here on out, be 100 percent yourself and I'll be here to accept you."

Shawniece and Jephte playfully flirted on their bed and hugged it out. Jephte said he was finally "emotionally connecting" to his wife through this experience and process; he just couldn't wait for the cameras to leave.

On Day 15, each couple invited family and friends over for a gathering and dinner party.

At this point in the marriage, Jonathan was hoping for "a little bit more physical intimacy" with Molly following their first night together in their new place. They weren't touchy-feely with each other at all, and Jonathan pointed out they didn't even really cuddle in bed at night.

But Molly was taking her time to slowly open up to Jonathan, with whom she had a lot in common. In her past relationships, she typically became friends with a man before the relationship became something romantic or intimate.

Meanwhile, Ryan and Jaclyn met with Pastor Roberson after an argument over Jaclyn's deceased boyfriend the night prior.

Ryan found the situation "stressful" because he wanted a fresh start with his wife, but Jaclyn said it was important for Ryan to understand the "emotions that come from my past" or else a wedge may develop between them.

Jaclyn said she's not going backwards in her new relationship because of the traumatic incident, but Ryan needed to see and believe that. Jaclyn didn't feel she was comparing the two romances.

"I am 100 percent dedicated and I really want to give this my all. I don't ever want to look back and think I didn't try to make it work because there are a lot of great qualities I've seen from the start with Ryan and both of us together," Jaclyn said. "I am fully committed to this marriage."

Jaclyn and Ryan felt they were in a much better place after meeting with the pastor, and then they enjoyed their family gathering as well. They both come from very loving and open families, so that made them feel closer to each other as spouses as well.

At Shawniece and Jephte's house party, Shawniece was smiling ear to ear -- so much so that she was actually blushing. She admitted to her girlfriends that she finally had sex with Jephte and it was great. She said the event just happened naturally and that neither individual pressured the other to go through with it.

Jephte's male friend at the party said he never saw Jephte so happy and lively with a woman. The couple seemed like they finally figured out why they were matched.

"I could see myself falling in love with Shawniece," Jephte said.

On Day 17 of the marriages, the guys caught up with each other and played some basketball. Jonathan complained to Ryan and Jephte about how Molly often said physical contact between them felt "forced" and he was constantly getting rejected whenever he'd go in for a kiss.

"It's frustrating to go home every night and not get anywhere," Jonathan said in a confessional after learning that Jephte and Shawniece had finally taken their relationship to the next level.

Meanwhile, the ladies met up with each other for some food and cocktails at a restaurant.

Shawniece told Molly and Jaclyn that she had good chemistry with Jephte, and then Molly confessed she had a high level of uncomfortable, even when cuddling and doing "relationship-y things."

"The fact you start feeling that pressure so early on, that's what's making me freak out and take some steps backwards instead of forwards," Molly noted.

Shawniece gushed about the fact she had finally consummated her marriage with Jephte. She appeared so excited and cried at the table, saying she was so thankful to be where she's at today.

"I'm blessed, and I just didn't see it coming," Shawniece told the girls.

Shawniece's story gave Molly hope that something could happen in a short period of time with Jonathan and there may be a moment when the pair just feel comfortable enough with each other to be intimate.

Jonathan acknowledged the ball was in Molly's court, and although he kept "hitting brick wall after brick wall," there was really nothing he could do.

On Day 18, Jonathan met with Dr. Griffin and revealed he had yet to make out with his wife and he'd eventually shut down.

Jonathan questioned why he should continue to do thoughtful, nice things for Molly when he basically got nothing in return. Dr. Griffin didn't want Jonathan to "check out," because they might not be able to come back from that.

Jonathan decided he didn't want to walk away, as he really wanted the marriage to work.

Molly then spoke to Dr. Griffin and took the blame for holding their marriage back, despite Jonathan being such a great, caring guy. Molly just felt she had a lot of expectation to live up to -- not just from him, but her family and friends as well.

Molly felt "horrible guilt" because she couldn't get to a certain point with Jonathan, and she learned that she must work to put her walls down or Jonathan would in turn become guarded and closed off.

The episode concluded with Jaclyn and Ryan getting along phenomenally. He said she had qualities he "could only dream about" in a partner prior to appearing on Married at First Sight, and she hoped their attraction could turn into "love."
