Kanye West wears many hats, but apparently reality television star is not one of them.

Despite a recent article in The Hollywood Reporter that claimed that HBO was developing an unscripted series that would follow the producer-turned-rapper's hectic daily life, West dismissed rumors on Friday that he is developing a reality show, according to MTV News.

"I wouldn't do something as cliche as a reality show," West told MTV News.  "At least give me the credit for being more creative than that."

According to West, he is in the midst of putting together a "traditional TV series" with producer/director Larry Charles (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and producer Rick Rubin.

"For the last couple of years, Larry, Rick and I have been developing this pilot. It's a situational half-hour comedy. It's fictional, and loosely based on my life.  Maybe this will give me the opportunity to spaz out at the Emmys one day," West told MTV News, referring to his stage-crashing meltdown at November's MTV Europe Awards.

Whether its unscripted or traditional television, the new HBO series featuring West is currently untitled.
