Former 'Bachelor' star Andrew Firestone and wife welcome baby boy

Andrew Firestone has become a father to his very own little bachelor.

The Bachelor third-season star and his wife Ivana welcomed their first child this weekend, Us Weekly reported Saturday.

Adam Brooks -- who was named after Firestone's father Brooks -- was born Saturday at 6:48AM and weighed eight pounds.

"Ivana and my son are doing well," Firestone told Us . "Everyone is healthy and happy. I am ecstatic about being a father."

Firestone and his wife began dating in Spring 2005 and wed last June at St. Mark's in the Valley Episcopal Church in Los Olivos, CA.

Following their wedding, the couple honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, which is where Firestone speculated the baby was conceived when revealing the pregnancy in September.

Firestone's The Bachelor edition aired in early 2003 and ended with him proposing to Jen Schefft. Although the couple dated for several months, they eventually split in December 2003.
