ABC has announced it's begun production on Lights, Camera, Christmas!, a new reality competition series that will feature 16 families from across America decorating their homes with Christmas lights to the extreme in the hopes of winning a $50,000 grand prize.

Lights, Camera, Christmas! will debut this December, and each episode will feature four of the 16 families competing to transform their homes for the holidays in 21 days and advance to the competition's final round.

"These 16 families were chosen through an extensive nationwide search, based on their previous elaborate Christmas light displays, incredible choreography and over-the-top designs. The four finalists will be flown to a surprise finale city to compete for the $50,000 Grand Prize," according to the network.

Lights, Camera, Christmas! is being produced by FremantleMedia North America with Brady Connell, Max Swedlow, Thom Beers, and Jennifer Mullin serving as executive producers.
