90 Day Fiance: The Other Way featured Jihoon proposing marriage to Deavan Clegg, Tiffany Franco's son Daniel expressing he doesn't like living in South Africa, and Corey Rathgeber and Paul Staehle complaining about their living conditions overseas during Monday night's broadcast on TLC.

Instead of following Americans and their foreign partners dating in the United States and attempting to marry within 90 days like the original 90 Day Fiance series, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way follows American citizens moving across the globe and living in foreign countries for the sake of love.

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way's Americans will also have to wed within 90 days in order to stay in their new countries. Paul and Karine Martins, however, were already married at the time of filming.

The latest 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way broadcast featured Paul and Karine; Jenny Slatten, a 60-year-old from Palm Springs, CA, and Sumit, a 30-year-old from New Delhi, India; Tiffany, a 27-year-old from Frederick, MD, and Ronald Smith, a 29-year-old from South Africa; Deavan, a 22-year-old from Salt Lake City, UT, and Jihoon, a 29-year-old from South Korea; and Corey, a 31-year-old from Mill A, WA, and Evelin Villegas, a 26-year-old from Engabao, Ecuador.

Laura, a 51-year-old from Eustis, FL, and Aladin, a 29-year-old from Qatar, however, did not make an appearance in the episode.

After arriving in their new countries, the six American cast members will be shown racing a ticking clock and experiencing major culture shocks and challenges -- including winning over their soon-to-be foreign in-laws and trying to plan a wedding.

"Will uprooting their lives in the United States pay off or be the biggest mistake ever?" TLC teases.

Below is the latest on each 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way couple based on Monday night's episode on TLC.

TIFFANY and RONALD

It had been a couple of days since Tiffany and Ronald discussed his behavior at his bachelor party. Ronald's actions broke Tiffany's trust, and she called the situation "a slap in my face."

Tiffany needed to figure out if she could trust Ronald long-term, but she was doing her best to move forward from the situation.

While driving through South Africa, there was trash all over the streets. Tiffany worried about Daniel's safety, and Ronald mentioned how human trafficking was a big issue in his native country.

Ronald explained to the cameras his family also had to worry about murders, burglary, and ATM bombings.

"But still, it's a nice place to live," Ronald noted.

During dinner that night, Daniel admitted he didn't feel comfortable in South Africa and wanted to move home. Tiffany's stomach dropped and she understood how her son was feeling because South Africa was such a different world.

Daniel asked Ronald to come to the United States, but Ronald said he would've done that a long time ago had the process been easy.

Daniel didn't know why Ronald couldn't come to America, and he wondered if his parents were keeping a secret from him. Daniel didn't like all the trash and "people walking around."

Ronald explained there were pros and cons to every place, and Tiffany promised Daniel that he'd still see his friends and grandmother at home.

Tiffany's wedding was in a few days, but she knew a lot was at stake, including Daniel's happiness.

That night, Tiffany and Ronald had dinner alone, and Ronald said he was ready for the wedding because he had so much love for her.

But Tiffany was getting cold feet in fear Daniel wouldn't be happy in South Africa and there were probably some things she still didn't know about Ronald. She wanted more of an explanation about Ronald's criminal record.

Ronald said his first offense was when he put on his friend's jacket one night at a club, and when he was searched, LSD and heroin were discovered in his pocket. Ronald insisted, however, he was drug tested at the police station and the results came back he was clean.

Ronald's mother also apparently wanted to lock him up one time because he had pawned her refrigerator.

But since Ronald promised to return the refrigerator, his mother changed her mind and withdrew the case.

A few years ago, Ronald was arrested on armed business robbery, but evidence allegedly proved he was not guilty.

Ronald also took money from his employer on numerous occasions as he continued to gamble and lose money. Ronald got locked up for this offense, but his boss eventually withdrew the case.

"After that day, I went straight to the wellness center," Ronald explained, adding that he had been found guilty for one charge.

Tiffany questioned how Ronald had been in the wrong place at the wrong time so many times given most of his cases had been withdrawn.

Tiffany was scared because that was a lot to deal with, but Ronald said his criminal ways were in the past and he didn't want his mistakes to affect his future.

DEAVAN and JIHOON

Deavan was on Cloud 9 because she had received a blessing from Jihoon's parents to marry her son. She began looking forward to moving to South Korea so she could be with Jihoon long-term and raise her children together.

When it became time Jihoon to leave the United States, Deavan was sad and knew she'd miss him terribly.

During a romantic lunch in Las Vegas, Jihoon asked the waitress to put an engagement ring in a glass of Ginger ale while Deavan was in the bathroom.

The marriage proposal didn't go as planned considering Deavan couldn't get the ring out of her glass and then Jihoon spilled other drinks on the table while trying to chug her Ginger ale.

But he eventually put the ring on Deavan's finger and said, "Will you marry me?"

"Yes!" Deavan replied. "Thank you, baby!"

"You will be happy," Jihoon said as he knocked a glass off the table.

The couple was so happy together, and Deavan pointed out Jihoon "did a good job with the ring."

Deavan gushed about how the marriage proposal was perfect and she couldn't wait to have her dream wedding.

Jihoon planned to return to America in two months, but Deavan hoped the baby wouldn't be born sooner than that so she could have her fiance by her side.

Jihoon felt "tremendous remorse" for leaving his pregnant fiancee behind, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Deavan then said goodbye to Jihoon and his parents, and she was totally overwhelmed by the reality setting in. Deavan and Jihoon expressed how they'd miss each other terribly and loved each other.

But after Deavan's baby arrived in two months, she had every intention of moving to South Korea.

Deavan was going to be sacrificing everything for a man she barely knew, knowing her course of action was "completely crazy," but she was willing to risk it all for love.

PAUL and KARINE

Paul filed an appeal when he was denied permanent residency in Brazil, but the process was supposed to take weeks, so Paul admitted it was going to be a waiting game.

When Paul broke the news to Karine he might have to return to the United States, she was devastated and worried because she didn't want to be pregnant and alone.

Karine said she could go back to her parents' place in Tonantins, Amazonas, if Paul had to leave so she'd have the help of her family with the baby.

Two months before Karine's due date, the pair went to a doctor appointment in Brazil to check on the baby and see if everything was okay.

Karine learned she had a bladder infection that was causing her pain but medicine would make her feel better.

The baby, however, had a "perfect, strong heart," according to the doctor. And the couple received confirmation they were expecting a baby boy.

Karine's travel time to Tonantins would be four or five days by boat, so Paul wondered whether that would be safe. The doctor said Karine would be okay as long as she rested and put her feet up often.

Regardless, Paul found the idea nerve-wracking. He wanted his wife and baby to be okay.

Paul then helped Karine pack for her trip to a tiny village in Amazonas, but he decided to keep their apartment in case things didn't go well.

Paul and Karine were then shown traveling on the boat and Karine had a private room so she would be more comfortable. (Most people on the boat slept in hammocks).

After Paul complained about the mosquitos on the boat and the brown water, Karine questioned whether he'd be able to adapt to life in Tonantins. Karine hoped Paul was going to man up and be brave.

JENNY and SUMIT

Jenny had been in India for a few weeks and they were happy together, but Sumit admitted things were going wrong because they'd basically need to notify Sumit's parents of their engagement in order for them to get married.

Sumit told Jenny if sending a notice to his parents' house is the only way they can register to get married, then they'd have to do it.

Jenny prepared for a big fight, but Sumit said he was willing to face his parents' objections and be strong for the love of his life.

Jenny called Sumit out for not fighting for her in the past, but Sumit insisted he was going to make things right and stand up to his disapproving parents. Sumit's parents seemed to be the only thing standing in the way of their romance.

Time was running out on Jenny's visa. She only had six months to get married in India or else she'd have to return to America.

"I can't imagine [Sumit] letting that happen," Jenny told the cameras.

"I am not going to back down," Sumit promised his wife.

Later on, Sumit received a phone call from his father, but he kept it a secret from Jenny so she wouldn't worry. Sumit's father asked for his live location because he was suspicious of his son's whereabouts.

Sumit said he had to meet his parents in order to satisfy them and address their concerns but Jenny wasn't going to like it.

COREY and EVELIN

Corey had been in Ecuador for a few days, staying with Evelin's grandmother. Corey knew he hadn't made the best impression on Evelin's family, but it was time to move into Evelin's apartment, and he was looking forward to privacy.

Corey said he spent $7,000 on a used car he wouldn't even take for free in the United States. It was basically a piece of junk, but the couple needed to get around.

Corey told Evelin it was super awkward staying at Evelin's grandmother's place, especially because of the heat and mosquitos. But Evelin was just annoyed by Corey's constant complaining.

Corey's attitude didn't make Evelin excited to be with him in Ecuador, but he said he was just trying to be honest with her.

"No one is asking for your honesty," Evelin said, adding to the cameras that Corey was being disrespectful.

Part of the $40,000 Corey had invested into a life in Ecuador went into the apartment Evelin had been living in. But when Corey saw their apartment, it had a rusted stove and no hot water.

"I don't know how I'm going to deal with Mr. Complaints all the time," Evelin vented in a confessional.

Evelin expected Corey to provide for her and take care of things now that they were together in Ecuador. When Corey discovered a rusted pot, Evelin suggested they should just go shopping.

Corey apologized for being in a bad mood but asked Evelin to see things from his perspective. Corey left all luxuries and comfort in the United States, but he was so excited about sharing his future with Evelin and assumed he could adjust to this new life over time.
