Survivor: Worlds Apart's merged Merica tribe eliminated Dan Foley from the game during Wednesday night's twelfth episode of the CBS reality competition's 30th season.

Dan, a 47-year-old postal worker from Gorham, ME, was the thirteenth person voted out of the game and therefore became the season's sixth jury member. His Merica tribe got him out on Night 35 at the season's thirteenth Tribal Council session.

"I came out here with three things to do. Number one, have fun. Number two, be remembered. Number three, hopefully win this game. For as long as I made the first two [happen], I'm still okay with that. That's just the way it goes. Every day I was here was a dream come true. I played a good game. I played a respectable game. I have no regrets," Dan said following his ouster.

Prior to Tribal and Dan's vote-off, the entire tribe knew and agreed that Mike Holloway, a 38-year-old oil driller from North Richland Hills, TX, had to be the next person to go as long as he didn't win Individual Immunity again. Mike, a huge threat in this game, was completely aware of this and did everything in his power to scramble.

At the Reward challenge, Mike; Will Sims II, a 41-year-old YouTube sensation from Sherman Oaks, CA; and Carolyn Rivera, a 52-year-old corporate executive from Tampa, FL, won a helicopter ride around the island as well as a surf and turf meal. Once again, Carolyn opted out of giving her Reward to her ally Rodney Lavoie Jr., a 24-year-old general contractor from Boston, MA, who hadn't enjoyed one all season.

Mike tried to talk Carolyn and Will into working with him and going to the Final 3 together on the Reward. He insisted that Dan; Rodney; and Sierra Dawn Thomas, a 27-year-old barrel racer from Roy, UT, were tight until the end. Will wasn't really buying into Mike's story, but Carolyn was considering it. She didn't know whether to trust Mike or her majority alliance, which was everyone else still left in the game.

On Day 35, the tribe met Survivor host Jeff Probst for the season's next Individual Immunity Challenge. It was set up like an obstacle course and the final task was to sink a ball in a hole by working a contraption with two ropes to move around the unbalanced puzzle.

Mike shocked everyone by winning immunity again -- for the third time this season. Mike was therefore guaranteed a spot in the Final 5 and his victory would force the alliance of five to vote off one of their own.

Back at camp, Mike was telling Sierra that the guys were definitely targeting her and Carolyn next. Mike said the guys were "100% gunning for them." All the castaways knew Mike would do anything to stay in the game because he was a total outsider at this point, but Sierra also acknowledged he was making sense.

The talk that day was about getting rid of either Carolyn or Dan. Mike wanted to work with Carolyn, so he tried to convince Sierra to vote Dan as well. The majority alliance told Carolyn they were voting for Dan because he had an advantage still left over from this season's auction, but in reality, the entire alliance wanted her gone.

Carolyn was a threat to the majority alliance -- physically and mentally -- but she also pissed Rodney off by not being a good friend when he had expected her to. Rodney campaigned to get her out, and Dan and Will had no problem with that. Carolyn trusted her alliance would vote Dan, but before Tribal commenced, she became wary of that.

At Tribal Council on Night 35, before Jeff read the votes, Dan played his advantage. The advantage allowed his vote to count as two votes, meaning there would be seven votes total that night. It seemingly became clear to Carolyn at that point Dan wasn't going home and she probably was.

As a result, when Jeff asked if anyone wanted to play a hidden Immunity Idol, Carolyn stepped up to the plate and put hers into action. Everyone appeared shocked.

Jeff then read the votes. Two people voted for Dan -- who were later shown to be Mike and Carolyn -- and five people voted for Carolyn, but the votes against her did not count. Dan was therefore eliminated from the game.
