Former American Idol finalist Josh Gracin is reportedly being held on an involuntary psychiatric hold after posting what appeared to be a suicide note on Facebook.

"I've loved her for 17 years... I made mistakes... I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most," Gracin wrote in the letter.
"I love you all.. You have given me the greatest gift. You allowed me to touch your hearts with what I loved to do the most... Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music... Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye."
Police reportedly rushed to the former Marine's home in Spring Hill where he currently resides with wife and four children to check on him after people got wind of the Facebook post.
Gracin wasn't home when police arrived, so officials allegedly called him on the phone, made him talk to his wife, and then asked him to come home.
However, according to TMZ, police pulled Gracin over on the road and then accompanied him to a nearby hospital as he drove himself there.
Gracin's manager Amy posted a message on the artist's Facebook page Thursday night, updating his fans on the situation.
"First, thank you everyone for your prayers and concern," Amy wrote. "Josh is safe and with his family now. We ask that you please respect their privacy during this time and continue sending your well wishes. I promise to update you soon."
Gracin competed on the second season of American Idol in 2003 and finished in fourth place.
