Utopia is cutting down to only one broadcast per week on Friday nights, as its additional Tuesday-night timeslot will be replaced with other shows and eventually MasterChef Junior's second season.

Fox has announced Utopia will be immediately dropping its Tuesday-night episodes, leaving the new reality series to air only once a week on Friday nights from 8-9PM ET/PT.

Utopia's old time slot on Tuesday nights will be replaced by baseball and repeats of Family Guy, The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers each week until MasterChef Junior premieres its second season on Tuesday, November 4 from 8-9PM ET/PT.

Because Utopia is being downsized, presumably due to less-than-stellar ratings, MasterChef Junior will be debuting three days earlier than the network had initially anticipated.

The second season of MasterChef Junior, which gives talented kids between the ages of eight and 13 the chance to showcase their culinary skills and passion for food via a series of challenges, was originally supposed to premiere on Friday, November 7.

Utopia features 15 pioneers and strangers living on an isolated ranch while building a brand new society together over the course of one year.
