Tania Maduro was a 29-year-old from Connecticut and Syngin Colchester was a 29-year-old from South Africa when they starred on Season 7 of 90 Day Fiance.

Tania revealed at the beginning of the season she had traveled to South Africa to meet a man whom she had met on a dating app, but after he turned out to not be the greatest guy, Tania decided to ditch him in the middle of the night and make the most of her spontaneous trip.

She therefore went to a local bar to have some fun and found herself attracted to Syngin, the bartender.

Tania and Syngin spent the night together after first meeting, and then Tania's trip to South Africa extended into a two-month stay before she returned to the United States.

Following a second trip to South Africa and a couple months of dating, Tania applied for Syngin's K-1 visa.

Once Syngin came to America, he and Tania lived in a shed behind her mother's house in Connecticut. They hit some bumps in the road when Tania went to study in Costa Rica for a month and they bickered about Syngin's future career and a timeline for starting a family.

Tania and Syngin questioned their compatibility, and Tania even admitted she didn't feel like Syngin was her soul mate. However, they were shown getting married on 90 Day Fiance and receiving matching tattoos.

Although Syngin and Tania don't post much of each other on Instagram, they appear to still be together.

The couple's 90 Day Fiance co-star Juliana Custodio de Sousa posted a photo on social media featuring her husband Michael Jessen and Syngin and Tania in February 2020.

"Love these people #friends #superbowlweekend #90dayfiance #michaelandjuliana #synginandtania @maxwell.jessen," Juliana captioned the photo, which showed Tania and Syngin smiling big.

In April 2020, Tania posted photos showing herself have a great time tubing with Syngin.

Tania also made it clear Syngin is still her husband in July 2020 when discussing their upcoming one-year wedding anniversary on Instagram.

Along with a throwback photo from their wedding, Tania wrote in the caption, "Our wedding aired last night in #Italy. Fitting because @syngin_colchester and I are looking into options for our 1 year anniversary celebration."

Seasons 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? featured Tania and Syngin as one of the season's returning couples it aired on TLC .

However, in October 2021 the couple confirmed they had broken up after four years together and two stints on the TLC franchise.

Speculation that Tania and Syngin had split had begun swirling earlier in 2021 when the couple's social media appeared to show they had begun living separate lives.

Tania finally confirmed the breakup news in an October 3 video on Instagram, which she captioned, "Some rumors are true -- #SingleLife New Season was announced and yes I am single, @syngin_colchester is single -- we're all single!!"

Tania, who married Syngin in July 2019, continued, "Now don't go all at once to his DMs ladies or he'll never be able to sort them all out."

After adding a "face with tears of joy" emoji, Tania added in her post, "Keep an eye out for my @unfiltrdofficial page to come -- in just a few weeks! #90dayfiance #90dayfiancehappilyeverafter #taniaandsyngin #relationships #adventures #picscomingsoon #90daysinglelife."

Syngin was among commenters on the post and wrote in the comments section, "Good luck on your journey."

The following day, discovery+ officially announced Syngin would be one of the cast members on Season 2 of 90 Day: The Single Life when it debuted on the Discovery streaming service in November 2021.

The Single Life season showed Syngin moving out of the former couple's shared home and beginning to date again.
