The Jersey Shore star, 46, proposed marriage to Nikki, 32, during his DJ set at a pool party at OMNIA Dayclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Sunday, September 27.

Paul brought Nikki onstage in front of the crowd before getting down on one knee and popping the question, according to a video of the proposal shared on Instagram.

A visibly shocked Nikki said "yes" before embracing her new fiance.

Nikki later celebrated the couple's engagement on Instagram and reflected on why they had waited more than six years to take the next step in their relationship.

"We've spent these years choosing each other, growing together, building a life we love, and never rushing a chapter just because the world was ready to read it," Nikki wrote.

"No pressure. No timeline. Just ours -- and God's. And as always, His timing was perfect."

Nikki added, "The easiest YES I've ever said @djpaulyd," alongside photos of the couple kissing after the proposal.

"She said yesssssss!!!!!" commented Paul, who shares a 13-year-old daughter named Amabella with his ex, Amanda Markert.

Nikki also showed off her diamond engagement ring in a black-and-white photo posted to Instagram Stories that featured Paul smiling behind the DJ booth.

Paul later gave fans a glimpse at the romantic celebration he had apparently planned for his bride-to-be.

The reality TV star posted a video showing the floor of their hotel room covered in rose petals, along with two giant heart-shaped floral arrangements and red balloons.

Paul and Nikki first met when Nikki competed for Paul's heart on the first season of MTV's Double Shot at Love in 2019.

Nikki returned for the show's second season, and the pair began dating in 2020 after quarantining together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Paul's Jersey Shore co-stars were quick to congratulate the couple on their engagement.

"Congratulations," Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino commented, while his wife Lauren Sorrentino wrote, "Congratulations! I love you guys."

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi celebrated the news with two clapping emojis, while Jenni "JWoww" Farley posted a string of heart emojis.

Jersey Shore premiered its first season in 2006 and launched many spinoffs including Snooki & JWoww and the latest Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on MTV.

MTV announced in March that Jersey Shore: Family Vacation would be ending after its latest season, but the Jersey Shore cast insisted they're not retiring.

Jenni promised on social media at the time, "MTV is changing, but we're not."

And The Situation wrote on Twitter on March 4, "Legends don't retire -- they take the story somewhere new. The network changed. The legacy didn't. Jersey Shore forever. The next wave is coming."
