"We've been dating for three weeks, so it's super chill," the "Duck Dynasty" star noted in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" on Monday.

"He had messaged me because he goes to Haiti every year on a mission trip and he saw that I go to Haiti," she explained.

"We just kinda connected through that, very much friends at first."

According to Robertson, the couple's first date happened when the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant asked the athlete to accompany her to a Justin Bieber concert.

"Trevor lives in Texas and he was messaging me, and I was like, 'Uh, do you want to go to a Justin Bieber concert with me? Because I don't have anybody to go with.' And he was like, 'Sure.' So, he came and I guess we just hit it off," Robertson explained before noting still after that, it was a month before they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend.

"We didn't date then. Actually, I didn't talk to him for a month after that. I was like, 'No,'" she admitted."Then a month later he called me and was like, 'So, why didn't you just talk to me for a month?' And we ended up becoming friends and, of course, started dating three weeks ago."

A photo taken from Robertson, 19, and Knight's, 22, concert date was shared by the college football star on Instagram at the time with the caption "Is it too late now to say sorry" ....to all the people who had to witness a 22 year old man dancing at a Justin Bieber concert? Had a blast with @legitsadierob anyways!" alongside a black and white photo of the pair.

In terms of Robertson's famous family, they seem to have approved of Knight despite his alliance to his Texas A&M team.

"My family's a little scary and a little intimidating -- they're big LSU fans and he plays for Texas A&M -- so that was kinda funny, but he's a good guy," she explained.

"Even Pepaw Phil was nice!"
