TMZ reported the development Monday.

Beresford-Redman, known for working on TV shows like "Survivor" and "Pimp My Ride," has been in jail since Nov. 16, charged with killing his wife, Monica, by asphyxiation during a trip to Cancun in April.

Her body was found in a septic tank at the resort hotel where the couple had been staying with their two children while on vacation.

Beresford-Redman's lawyer has said in the past the producer is not guilty and will fight extradition to Mexico.
