Kirstie Alley's Dancing with the Stars participation will now be permanently engrained in her.

The actress and former Kirstie Alley's Big Life star chose to get a tattoo to commemorate and remind her of her "beautiful Dancing with the Stars experience," she explained in a Twitter posting.

"I got [the word] 'Unbroken,'" Alley told paparazzi while showing off her wrist on her way out of a tattoo parlor on Monday night.

The reality TV star made the decision to get a tattoo after she polled her Twitter followers and asked whether getting inked was a good idea. The response was a "landslide" in support of the tattoo, according to Alley.

As a result, Alley took the advice of her fans and subsequently tweeted, "What should it say? I only want writing... suggestions please." She finally settled on the idea of "Unbroken."
The word fit well on multiple levels, according to Alley.

"I like 'unbroken' ... Want it to reflect something personal for me... And it works with both meanings," she wrote.

While her inking took place only hours after professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy dropped her during their performance on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars performance show, Alley told her followers that that getting the tattoo was not a spur of the moment decision and she had already been planning it for awhile.

"I was planning on getting a tattoo for awhile. Your votes sealed it. Thanks for [all] the great ideas," she wrote.
