French police have arrested 17 suspects, according to authorities, in connection with the emotionally-traumatizing robbery of the 36-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, People reported.

Arrests were reportedly made beginning at 6AM on Monday in various locations around Paris as well as surrounding cities. The suspects can be held for up to 96 hours before they must be released or ultimately charged of a crime.

As of Monday morning, the suspects had to appear before two magistrates and were already being questioned.

"Exploitable DNA" was found on a piece of Kardashian's jewelry -- a platinum and diamond-encrusted Jacob & Co. cross valued at $33,000 -- that one of the robbers dropped on the group's way out via bicycle, People reported. A pedestrian reportedly found the cross and turned it into police.

French newspaper Le Monde is also claiming a second suspect was identified by comparing DNA found in the hotel with samples in France's national database. Due to the potential evidence, the two suspects were under surveillance by police for several weeks prior to being taken into custody.

Paris prosecutors have declined comment on the ongoing investigation.

Kardashian took a break from the cameras, public appearances and social media after being tied up, gagged and robbed on October 3 of precious valuables, including her $4 million ring, during Paris Fashion Week. The reality TV star was allegedly "badly shaken" yet "physically unharmed" from the incident.

Kardashian opened up about the scare in a preview clip for E!'s upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

"They're going to shoot me in the back," she tearfully recalled in a conversation with Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian. "There's no way out."

The mother of two and Selfish author added, "It makes me so upset to think about it."

Kardashian returned to social media last week by posting adorable home videos, and of course a selfie.
