Raven Gates comes across as a sweet and dainty southern beauty on The Bachelor so far, but host Chris Harrison insists she is one to watch out for this season for other reasons.

Gates, a 25-year-old fashion boutique owner from Hoxie, AR, apparently has a feisty side The Bachelor star Nick Viall will likely appreciate.

"Raven is a professional woman but from a small town. She is from Arkansas and went to the University of Arkansas. She is a very straight-shooting, no-nonsense Southern belle," Harrison told Yahoo! TV.

"She has a very sweet quality to her, and she is friendly to everyone, but she is sharp as a tack and will not be walked all over."

Harrison suggested kindness should not be mistaken for weakness when it comes to Gates.

"I dare you to underestimate her," Harrison noted. "Some of the girls will learn that lesson."

Viall has said from the start he's looking for a future wife who exudes confidence, charisma and independence.

"[Raven] is around fashion and clothes as a boutique owner. She is always 'put together' and dreams of the big country wedding. She does fit that stereotype," Harrison explained of her multi-faceted personality.

"She is very kind, loving, and sweet, and Nick finds that very attractive. He very much enjoys being comforted by her."

While drama is always to be expected on The Bachelor franchise, Harrison claims Gates will pretty much stay out of it.

"She is that girl who makes [Nick] forget and relax and takes him away from all the nonsense in the house," Harrison revealed to Yahoo! TV, "and that girl is always someone you have to watch out for on The Bachelor."

Gates received a rose from Viall on The Bachelor's January 2 premiere at Season 21's first Rose Ceremony. Viall narrowed down his love search from 30 to 22 women.
