In the City stars Whitney Fransway and Kenny Martin have announced their engagement after two years of dating.

Kenny proposed to Whitney on September 19 during a trip to Anacapri, Italy, according to People.

The 42-year-old real estate investor and venture capitalist popped the question at Hotel Caesar Augustus, where he and Whitney had celebrated her birthday with a private dinner the previous summer.

"I was in complete shock, shaking and crying, but it was the easiest 'yes' for me," Whitney, 35, told the magazine. "I feel so seen and supported with Kenny."

Kenny reportedly enlisted Whitney's manager to make her believe she was participating in a promotional partnership with the hotel. He then reserved the same dining area the couple had previously enjoyed and decorated the terrace with white flowers, candles and flower petals.

Kenny also hired a violinist to perform during the proposal.

"I wanted to go back to that special place, but added flowers and candles and a violinist to really just make it magical for her," Kenny explained. "She deserved something so perfect."

Whitney recalled being overwhelmed when she arrived and saw Kenny waiting for her on one knee.

"It honestly took me a moment to even process what was happening, and I couldn't stop crying," she said.

"With the view and the flowers and the violin, it felt straight out of a storybook. I'm still pinching myself."

Kenny presented Whitney with an elongated cushion-shaped diamond on a gold band.

"It couldn't be more me! It's the most beautiful ring I've ever seen," Whitney gushed. "I can't stop staring at it."

Before proposing, Kenny had secretly traveled to Florida to ask Whitney's parents for permission to marry their daughter. Kenny had disguised the visit as a business trip so Whitney would not discover his plans.

"It felt scandalous, but I'm so glad I did that in person," Kenny recalled. "We were all crying."

After getting engaged, Whitney and Kenny called their loved ones to share the big news, before taking off to Spain for a celebration with friends.

The couple also spoke to Kenny's father, with whom Kenny reunited after 25 years of estrangement during In the City's first season, which premiered this past spring on Bravo.

"My mother is no longer here, but I recently found my father after 25 years, and it was really special for us to be able to call him afterward to break the news," Kenny shared.

Whitney and Kenny began dating in 2025, and then Whitney moved from Los Angeles to New York City -- a journey which was featured on Bravo's Summer House spinoff.

Kenny was also coping with the death of his mother at the time, and he acknowledged his grief made the beginning of his relationship with Whitney difficult.

"There was a numbness there, and I don't think people can fully understand real grief until they experience it firsthand, but Whitney was unbelievably supportive through that process," Kenny gushed of his new fiance

"I feel like we have grown so much together, and our love for each other just gets stronger and more grounded every day."

Prior to starring on In the City, Whitney competed on Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor and then briefly dated her Season 6 Bachelor in Paradise co-star Connor Saeli.
