Labeled "never been kissed" by ABC at the time, Heather -- who did eventually kiss Colton during a one-on-one date -- quit The Bachelor process before hometown dates because she said she wasn't ready to take the step of introducing Colton to her parents and family.
However, Heather must feel ready now to get engaged and settle down given she decided to look for love again on Matt's season.
ABC executive Rob Mills touched upon Heather's surprise entrance during a January episode of "The Bachelor Recap" podcast.
"She felt for sure this was her husband and basically did anything she could to get there and track him down," Rob revealed to co-host Julia Cunningham of Heather.
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Heather is a thrill-seeker who enjoys bungee jumping, skydiving and river-rafting.
The bachelorette attended a conservative private school for college
Heather graduated from Biola University in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing.
Biola University is one of America's most conservative private schools. Alcohol, drugs and sex are all off-limits at the evangelical Christian university, which was founded as the Bible Institute of Los Angeles in 1908.
Heather's fellow Season 23 The Bachelor bachelorette, Cassie Randolph, graduated from Biola University one year earlier and the two women were reportedly friends in college.
