The former "American Idol" runner-up will return to the FOX singing competition on Thursday night to perform the single, which is now available on streaming sites and for purchase.

Regarding the new track, Lambert said he paired up with Ali Payami and Lelah to produce the music.

He had previously worked with Payami to make his "Ghost Town," released last year.

"I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are," Lambert said, according to Billboard, about "Welcome To My Life."

Earlier this week, the singer released a teaser video of himself and Lelah in the studio.

The song is the latest from Lambert's album, "The Original High," which became available last summer.
