A polite and efficient bank robber wanted for seven heists so far has been dubbed "The Rookie" by FBI agents on his trail in Albuquerque, N.M.

The robberies began Nov. 12, and in each case, the man approached a bank teller and quietly displayed a hand-written note kept near his waistband. The note demands large bills but no exploding dye packs -- which banks use to mark stolen cash -- and wishes the teller a nice day.
FBI Special Agent Bill Elwell told the Albuquerque Journal the thief has been remarkably cool.
"We think he's being schooled by someone who knows something about bank robberies," Elwell said.
No weapons have been displayed, and no one has been injured, Elwell said.
For at least two of the seven robberies, the thief left in a vehicle that was stolen or had a stolen license plate. He fled one holdup by leaving in a vehicle with four other men, the FBI said.
