Rob Kardashian has reportedly apologized to his family for his explicit, social-media tirade against Blac Chyna, whom the reality TV star wishes he never got romantically involved with.

"Rob did apologize. Finally!" a source told People of the 30-year-old, who has been subjected to a restraining order. "[He] promised his family this will never happen again."

Chyna was granted the restraining order on Monday, forcing Kardashian to stay at least 100 feet away from her at all times. Kardashian has also been banned from posting personal photos or information about Chyna and their daughter Dream as well as her son from a previous relationship with Tyga, King Cairo.

"Rob is very stubborn," the source said. "It took him forever to admit it was a terrible idea to get involved with Chyna. He is finally admitting it now and feels very bad. He especially feels bad about the latest drama and regrets it."

Kardashian and Chyna had a whirlwind romance that began in January 2016. They got engaged after several months of dating and starred on E!'s Rob & Chyna reality series together, which documented their tumultuous dynamic.

The couple then welcomed their daughter Dream in November 2016, but Chyna has alleged in her court documents that she and Kardashian officially split the following month.

Last week, Kardashian spiraled out of control when he posted a series of graphic photos of Chyna's body parts and expletive-laced allegations about the 29-year-old model. Kardashian publicly accused Chyna of being a gold digger, abusing alcohol and drugs, and cheating with as many as seven male sexual partners "in less than a month."

Kardashian also vented about all the jewelry and cars he bought for her, as well as an alleged $100,000 surgery he paid for after she gave birth.

"He trusted Chyna and flipped out when he realized she was hooking up with other guys. He got overheated and it was a spontaneous reaction of anger," the source told People, referencing how Chyna admitted to sending Kardashian a video of herself kissing another man.

Rapper Ferrari also shared a photo of himself lying in Chyna's bed and appearing to wear Kardashian's Versace robe, which seemed to spark Kardashian's rant.

"This is not the person he wants to be. Rob wants to focus on spending time with Dream. He loves Dream and thinks she is the best," the source said, adding that Kardashian is "a great dad" despite all the drama.

The Kardashian and Jenner clan has remained silent on social media since Kardashian's outburst and the restraining order, but an insider told People they are "deeply disappointed and frustrated" with Kardashian and his actions.

"He's made a difficult situation even worse," the insider noted. "At this stage, the primary concern is protecting Dream from all this nastiness."

While Chyna has lawyered up with women's rights activist Lisa Bloom, Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner is reportedly the one who hooked her son up with Robert Shapiro, the attorney who worked with Jenner's late husband Robert Kardashian Sr. on the 1996 O.J. Simpson murder trial.

Kardashian and Chyna are reportedly scheduled to return to court for a hearing next month on August 8.
