Married at First Sight star Ryan Ignasiak believes Gil Cuero would have "canceled" Myrla Feria if she treated him like he treats her, with his constant playful criticism of her lifestyle and moody nature.

"Gil, you have called her a 'Negative Nancy,'" Dr. Pepper acknowledges.
"Yes, I try so hard not for her to get like that, and then when she gets like that, it kind of ruins whatever we're doing. And so, it's easy to go into the dark," Gil says.
Myrla then laughs off Gil's comment before he adds, "It's easy to go into the dark side!"
On Unfiltered, Ryan seemed a little bothered and disturbed by the footage of the firefighter venting his frustrations about Myrla.
"If she would have poked him half the amount that he's poked her about finances, she would have been frickin canceled by now," Ryan said.
"She never harps on him making this [salary] and her making this; it's always him doing it."
And Myrla agreed, "I've never said something mean to him about his finances or his preferences or anything."
Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still married to her match, Doug Hehner -- asked Myrla what she was thinking when Gil was coming down on her pretty hard during that Dr. Pepper therapy session.
While being called a "Negative Nancy" would probably hurt most women's feelings, Myrla was just laughing and smiling through the criticism.
"I think he's just a comedian in relationships. You know, some guys think that when you make fun of someone, it's cute and it's flirty," Myrla explained.

"I mean, that's who he is. I can't change that. I can usually take things pretty well and it doesn't affect me. I'm like, 'Whatever, I don't care.'"

Jamie, however, pointed out how a lot of the couple's issues seemed to be problems Gil was having with Myrla and not the other way around.
"It's things he doesn't like, like the 'brunch husband' thing or your [expensive] shoes. So what are some of your issues with him?" Jamie asked, referring to how Gil didn't want to have brunch every weekend at bougie restaurants and hoped Myrla would spend less money on her designer wardrobe.
"For me, the issues have been that we are just so different," Myrla replied.
"We're still on opposite spectrums when it comes to how we approach finances and drive in life and the goals that we have."
From the beginning of the Married at First Sight experiment, Myrla has said she enjoys her lifestyle -- traveling internationally and buying nice purses and shoes -- and would never change her hobbies and spending habits for a man.
One of Gil's groomsmen at the wedding called Myrla "high maintenance," but Myrla believes she works hard for her money and should be able to spend it however she pleases.

But Gil has been shown hoping to save more and spend less so they can buy a home and start having children faster.

"I don't want to argue about this!" Myrla said on Unfiltered. "I don't want to discuss this. This, to me, seems petty."
Myrla said because she and Gil are "so different," these are the things they "are left to discuss and argue about."
But other than a little tiff here or there over Myrla's shopping habits and negative attitude or mood, Myrla and Gil have been one of the strongest couples on Married at First Sight's currently-airing thirteenth season.
In fact, most viewers probably anticipate Myrla and Gil will choose to stay together on "Decision Day," which airs Wednesday, November 10 on Lifetime.
"When I think about the good attributes for Gil, he's a good person, he has a huge heart and he's willing to do just about anything [for the] commitment," Myrla shared.
"I think what leans me to a 'no' [on Decision Day] is we are both complete opposites and we've shared that with each other. We would have never dated each other on the street."
She added, "And then, financial stability."
As for Ryan's own marriage to Brett, he previously admitted they'd need a "Hail Mary" to stay together at the end of the experiment.

Ryan had been waiting for a spark and attraction to Brett that simply never came, and he didn't like how she is messy at home and would prefer watching TV over being outdoors or doing something active.

"What would make me lean towards 'yes' is just knowing who Brett is to the core. She cares about others more than herself and she's very giving," Ryan explained.
"What would make me lean towards 'no' is just we're very, very different people in most ways. And yeah, I would really have to look at how we fit into each other's normal lives."
Married at First Sight, which airs its next episode on Wednesday, November 3 at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime, also stars Ryan's wife Brett, Johnny Lam and Bao Huong Hoang, Rachel Gordillo and Jose San Miguel, and Michaela Clark and Zack Freeman.
