Married at First Sight star Jessica Castro is apparently scared to death of estranged husband Ryan De Nino as they're going through a very ugly divorce.

Last week, Castro, 30, filed a restraining order against De Nino, 29, whom she met at the altar due to the premise of FYI Network's reality show in which experts match two people for marriage and then the newlyweds have six weeks to determine whether they'd like to stay in a relationship or get a divorce.

Castro and De Nino had an extremely tumultuous dynamic on the show, and now, Castro's attorney Marc Rapaport told People his client is "terrified for her life."

According to court documents Castro had filed in Queens Family Court obtained by Us Weekly, she quoted De Nino saying, "I will break you into f-cking pieces. I will break your dad into pieces. I will make your whole family disappear -- and your f-cking dog-ass sister's boyfriend."

Rapaport said the petition alleges "there were two threats by Ryan to kill her. One of those threats was captured on a live microphone on the set while... filming [the reunion special for] Married at First Sight."

De Nino reportedly said into his microphone, "She's f-cking dead. When I get back to Brooklyn, she's f-cking dead, this girl."

Rapaport actually confirmed the show offered Castro a security detail after the taping of the show's reunion last month. The reunion special just aired on Tuesday night.

"The threat that was conveyed was a very disturbing threat, not just in the language, but the tone of his voice," Rapaport told People. "Right now, we are focused on one thing -- keeping her and her family safe."

During the reunion, Castro also openly discussed how she believes De Nino had cheated on her around Valentine's Day this year.

"A week prior to [the holiday] we had a blow-up because he told me that he was gonna be busy. So I didn't see him. Not a card, not a nothing," Castro confessed, according to ABC News. "A few weeks later, I find a Valentine's Day card from another female at his apartment."

"Because Ryan was trying to make it work with someone else, that's why [our marriage] didn't work," Castro reportedly added later in the broadcast.

De Nino, however, argued he definitely made an attempt to see his wife and did not have any type of affair.

"I can't control people from sending me cards," De Nino said.

Castro's lawyer had told ABC News on Monday the objective going forward is to protect Castro from "all threats to her safety and well-being."

The protection order remains in effect until July 13, when the pair has a hearing scheduled.

Married at First Sight's production company Kinetic Content released a statement to People on Monday addressing this bad situation.

"We don't know all the details and can't comment on the specifics. What we can say is that, unfortunately, couples on the show can go through real divorces, and divorce can often be difficult. The experts on our show have the best of intentions and highest hopes for success for each couple," said Kinetic Content.

"After undergoing extensive background and psychological checks by third parties, couples agree to be legally married on our show... but we can't control how they behave or govern their actions after production... And, as always, we have offered each of them significant aftercare resources."

The production company also wishes Castro and De Nino a bright future.
