Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth to star in new 'Superman' movie

Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth, who played Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee in "Beyond the Sea," are set to star in the new "Superman" movie.

Spacey is scheduled to play Metropolis villain Lex Luthor and Bosworth will play Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane in the latest version of "Superman" being shot in Australia, reported Zap2it.com.

"Days of Our Lives" star Brandon Routh is set to play the Superman, the role the late Christopher Reeve played in the 1970s and 1980s.

Bosworth is said to have beaten out Natalie Portman, Claire Danes, Linda Cardellini to play Lane.

Warner Bros. has had a lot of false starts with the latest Superman move, but filming is expected in March after a mini Metropolis is constructed at a studio lot in Australia.
