UPI News Service, 01/19/2005

Green Day's "American Idiot" tops this week's Billboard 200 chart with U.S. sales of 100,000, the magazine reported Wednesday.

Eminem's "Encore" stayed in second place, and Shania Twain's Mercury Nashville "Greatest Hits" compilation jumped from seventh to third place on an 8 percent sales increase to 74,000.

"Get Lifted" by John Legend came in at No. 4 for a second week, and Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz's "Crunk Juice" dropped to fifth place.

Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" notched a No. 6 ranking, and Usher's "Confessions" slipped to seventh place.

"MTV Ultimate Mash-Ups Presents Jay-Z and Linkin Park: Collision Course" was steady at No. 8 for a second week, despite an 18 percent decline in sales from the previous week.

Ludacris' "Red Light District" was ninth, and the 17th installment of "NOW That's What I Call Music!" rose to 10th on the chart.
