Former The Bachelor bachelorette Sarah Brice has announced she is engaged and expecting a child.
"Thanks! Yes engaged and pregnant! 2012 is gonna be a BIG year for us :) Maybe your next ???? :)" Brice wrote on her Twitter account in response. Brice, who appeared on The Bachelor's seventh edition starring Charlie O'Connell, also revealed on Friday via Twitter she is 18 weeks along and having a baby boy. O'Connell selected Brice during The Bachelor's final seventh-season Rose Ceremony in 2005, however instead of proposing, he presented her with a promise ring so the couple could attempt to have a relationship in the real world before tying the knot. They subsequently lived together in Los Angeles for two years but split in 2007 before rekindling their relationship a year later. After they reunited, Brice attributed the split to O'Connell's excessive drinking and her desire to be more independent. In February 2009, O'Connell claimed he hadn't "had a drink in almost two years or something like that," and Brice added his drinking had been "99% percent of the problem" in their relationship. The couple's on-again, off-again relationship of five years officially came to an end in April 2010 when Brice and O'Connell mutually decided to break up because they had been arguing constantly.
